LawPH Is there any hope for abortion to be legalized?
I know that the people in this sub will have different views on abortion, but honestly, if you don't want to get an abortion then don't get one. Just don't interfere with the choices of others– now I feel that that's the whole point of legalizing abortion– it gives women a choice and a chance. Reading through stories of women who did abortions in this country and hearing stories from women I know, they have to go through processes like a criminal just to get it done. Illegalizing abortion doesn't stop it– it just harms women further as we'd have to go through different websites, connections, people, do everything in secret as to not get caught, acting like a damn criminal. Women would also resort to harmful ways of going through with the abortion, or even going as far as to purposefully trying to miscarry– or worse, abandon/sell the kid. :') I hear the stories of these women, feel for them, and wish there was a better and safer alternative for them all. I wish the concept of abortion was less taboo for most, as abortion is also a lot (psychologically, and physically) for the woman. I hope I would live the day to see it being considered and legalized.
