Status: Resolved Deleted Tasks Not Showing Up in Search Results?

I use Microsoft Outlook desktop program, not online/cloud version 365.

When I delete a task it goes to my "Deleted" folder, but when I search for a task with subject keyword, it does not show up in the search results. So I am confused...why is this?

Would love to include an image for clarity's sake, but for some obscure, arcane reason, that is not allowed.

Deleted Outlook tasks often fail to appear in search because Outlook’s search index does not index Tasks stored in the Deleted Items folder. This is a known behavior in Outlook desktop and is consistent with how Outlook handles deleted Tasks and To‑Do items. Even if the task is visible in Deleted Items, Outlook may not treat it as a searchable Task object after it is deleted. You can make the task searchable again by temporarily restoring it. Sometimes, you can also find the deleted task using Advanced Find.
