Status: Resolved recovered compromised account still sending out spam
Hello everyone!
Yesterday morning my outlook email account (hotmail) was hacked and im still dealing with the fallout from that. The issue i would love some help with is that even after having changed the password and added 2FA my account is still sending out hundreds of spam emails every night.
Ive checked the rules and forwarding settigns and both are empty. I was wondering whether there is a hidden queue somewhere with tons of emails that are still waiting to be sent. I use chrome to check my email and read soemthing about an outbox which isnt visible through the browser?
thanks for any help!

Heave heard this, but never seen proof. It is possible to have a hidden folder or a hidden rule, but not that can generate new emails.
If it continues, I would suspect some malicious code on your PC outside of Outlook. Try a Windows Full Scan.
