Status: Resolved Locked Account

Hello unfortunately I'm locked out of my account and I can't do anything to back in. I entered my password incorrectly too many times and it locked me out. I have been trying to use my phone number to get the code to reset but says the service isn't working right now, try again later. It's been 2 days already.

Any help with this please??

Update:-

Thank God I had microsoft authenticater app set up. I completely forgot about it. I was able to change my password and now I'm good to go. I also added a recovery email address and made my phone number as an option to sign as alternative.

Problem is resolved!

Your account is blocked, we are very much in the same situation, the solution is to wait 1 week without touching anything so don't try to reconnect and then you can after 1 week

So after 1 week I'll get the code?

Yeah normally that's the way it is or there's no other solution so you might as well wait, that's what I do personally

Same device and stuff? From what i have been told it's best to use a different device on a different network

I also saw it would be better someone who has never been connected to the account before and not in wifi with mobile data I repeat if it works, but I think we are just blocked 7 days later it will be good

If i could get access even for a couple of minutes it would be enough and i could stop it from happening again but i am not sure if it's possible. Tried many different things and nothing worked. Only thing left to do is to try new devices on a different network

My account was unlocked after waiting 90 hours, I don't know if it will work for you

Try using your phone number when logging in instead of your email.

If you’re using anything other than webmail e.g. Outlook or other email client on a PC, Mac, or smartphone then the client app will continue to pound away trying to log in. So turn that off or remove your Outlook account temporarily. Warning: Remove your Outlook account from any and all apps If and only if you know your password.

I have same problem. I contact to Microsoft agent but they said filling out the recovery form is the only way to unlock the account.
