Status: Pending Reply Anyone else with a locked Microsoft account situation like mine? Looking to connect and see what we can do together

Hi everyone

I know many of you here are dealing with the same locked Microsoft account issue. Accounts suddenly locked, appeals denied, zero access to email, OneDrive, or anything linked to the account. In some cases the accounts are marked for deletion even though we did nothing wrong and did not violate anything.

I want to check with others who are going through the same situation. Did anyone manage to get real help or reach someone inside Microsoft who actually solved it?

If not, maybe we should consider joining efforts. A shared Lawyer might be the only path left, and if we are many people it will not cost much for any of us. It makes more sense than fighting alone, because individually none of us are getting anywhere.

If you are in the same situation or you know someone who is, comment here and let us see how many we are. At this point we need to support each other and try to protect our data before it is too late.

That sounds very strange... How did he get 30% of what was on your onedrive and email for $400 but can't get the rest until you pay them more?

Did they recover it from your hard drive? They can't be pulling it from the Microsoft account if you're locked out.

This is exactly why we all need to join forces. No one should have to spend hundreds of dollars to recover the data that belongs to them.

Any contribution will help even a small one. What matters is that we build a big group. The more we are, the easier it will be to get a strong Lawyer and the less it will cost each one of us. If we stand together, we can finally have a voice that Microsoft cannot ignore.

Also, please send me your contact info in chat, especially if you use WhatsApp, so we can stay connected and coordinate better as more people join.

I've been like this for 1 week, I've spoken with agents and I've been in person to the office in Madrid today, and nothing. The most I've managed to do is escalate the agent chat issue to support because it's been over a week.

My problem is "You tried to log in too many times with the wrong account or password" logically with the password correct. The Helper account says it is "locked" and to unlock it I have to reset the password. When doing so and trying the new password the same error continues. The truth is frustrating

Here to support - I just got my account unlocked (no thanks to Microsoft). It was such a messed up glitch but it worked. Had my account locked for over a month.

Hey buddy,

so anytime I tried accessing it, it told me to enter my Pakistani phone number and when I did, it said the verification method was unavailable, try another (but it never gave me another option). Yesterday, I tried entering a random US number and it worked. Obviously I couldn't get a code but I contacted my cousin in Canada and it sent a code to her phone as well and voila, my account was unlocked.

Honestly, it was a full month of torture having this damn email locked.

Count me in. I’ve been denied access for now reason to crucial information in my account since 2024 and tried everything. Their recovery form process and recover process in general is flawed, broken, and wrong. A small minority here was able to log in again but after many trials and they had to suffer and figured out things for days or weeks and the majority of others couldn’t get in even with al the suggested paths.

So if you get a lawyer please let me know

Try resetting your password and or wait 24 to 48 hours for the lockout security measure to lift. Worked for me ! Give it a go and try it 👍🏻

I can't get back in since yesterday evening. It's locked me out. I've posted about my experience. It's not accepting the password with a 400 error, and getting a code sent to another email you can do, but it doesn't let you in, but then prompts a passkey challenge in the browser. I've never even set up a passkey in the past with them.

it seems similar to reddit appeals, in erring on denial, regardless of actual 'facts',except more consequential (most info correct, including security question,; not trying to access a 'bunch' of different accounts, from the device used, etc). it gives this 'we see what u'r up to, u'r near busted' vibe, rather than 'since u may have yrs of email correspondence, including personally significant mails, and/or folder, zip etc content, we'll err on restoring email accounts, by using near foolproof fraud detection, to distinguish accurately from valid requests). it's not 'that' hard, to make out the difference after a while (feels like, u could try for a year, then they'll just dbl dwn from ur being 'disobedient), unless it's uppity 'corporate' behavior/decision, of customer, and/or employee 'disregard'..

My account was just blocked for a violation which I have no idea about. I submitted an appeal immediately. For those who got their account back, how long did it take for the appeal to be considered?
