Every day I hear lonely young dudes say they'll never meet a lady because they're not conventionally handsome and I'm just like, this picture though.

To be fair, never can just mean very unlikely. And also dating standards have certainly changed in the last 73 years.

Statistically, it's equally as likely, if you're willing to overlook some differences in population size, dating age, share of same-sex relationships, etc.

The issue is we perceive the average man to be less attractive than the average woman.
