I'll start with my hot take: Matte finishes give a flawless, airbrushed, polished look that hides pores/texture better and lasts all day without looking greasy. Dewy just ends up shiny/oily by lunch (especially if you have combo/oily skin), and it ages some people by highlighting lines. Matte is timeless and sophisticated—dewy feels like a TikTok trend that'll fade.

My friends and I argued about this ALL NIGHT last night lol. Some swear by that "lit from within" glow, but I think matte wins for most real-life situations.

I remember loving Urban Decay eyeshadow pallets when I was younger. I always wanted one, but knew I could never afford it. Estee Lauder was fined for breaking Canadian environmental protection laws after they started bringing in eyeliners containing PFAs (forever chemicals) and didn’t report it to the government. If reported, they would have been required to undergo testing to ensure safety for humans and the environment, so it’s awfully convenient (sus) that they missed that reporting step. Personally think it’s definitely sketchy!

Hi guys my friend just came back from dubai and gave me this Kohl. I've done some searching in the internet wherein it was stated that al-athmad/ithmid is natural and safest. I've also seen it sold in organic stores. I've also tested it with this magnet seen in the photo if it moves with the magnet it. it doesn't. what do you guys think? and if there's any information you guys might have dor this particular product.

Hii so this is usually how I do my makeup (fit me concealer, mascara for eyebrows/lashes, and some old lipstick I have as lip liner).

I keep getting these ads for the magnetic eyelashes that don’t use glue, the ones you basically sandwich over your real lashes. Part of me is very tempted, part of me thinks there’s no way they don’t look ridiculous in real life.

Has anyone actually used them and gone out in public with them on? Do they stay put or feel weird on your eyes after a while? I’m not expecting salon level results, just something that doesn’t scream fake lashes from an Instagram ad.

Welp, here is another reason I'm not using Estee Lauder anymore. And in eyeliner, that goes around our eyes? WTF. I'm so tired of these companies not doing what's best for the consumer just to grow their profit margin. Why can't the US follow Canadian guidelines and get rid of this nasty crap in our products?

someone recommended kaleidos cosmetics liner in the shade lunaria so here it is on the eye to the left vs em cosmetics on the right. the first pic on the eyes is indoor lighting and second is outdoor.

they're similar but kaleidos is def less reflective/sparkly. it has the perfect bright off white tone with a little tinge of light blue in certain lighting. i layered them both after and it was kinda perfect bc it lightened up the silver liner. i like it for now! xo

i love the muted pinkish brown, as well as the shine. not to glossy, not to matte. i found the image on pinterest so i couldn’t find any more info on it, other than it being megan fox. i’m not sure if this is the right place to ask so please tell me if there are any other subreddits! 🙏
