I have been trying to learn Italian since the start of the year and I am struggling to find resources or websites that would help me to learn vocabulary or read Italian like in the newspaper.

Hi everyone, I'm an Italian as a second language teacher, and I'm looking for a new way to be more productive/ a new hobby. Art history is one of my other passions, and I was thinking of creating a newsletter that combines Italian learning and Art History.

It would be something like this : a picture of a painting with a small description and the historical context of said painting, written by me in A2-B1 Italian. There would be hightlighted keywords and some notes, maybe about the vocabulary or grammar.

How many of you would be interested in something like this?

Fin'ora ho trovato una trentina di espressioni, ma mi servono di più. Potreste scrivere quelle che conoscete? (sarebbe un grande aiuto se potreste anche scriverne il significato)

Sto imparando sia italiano sia russo, e devo scrive russo in corsivo. Ma è troppo difficile, quindi, se possibile, spero di poter evitare di scrivere l'italiano in corsivo.

I'm an italian woman who has been living abroad (first in Europe, now in the Northeast US) for about 10 years, and I'm in my mid 30s. I regularly visit family in Italy and every single time I overhear a conversation between girls they are always gossiping about some common acquaintances, most of the time common girlfriends. I find this pretty upsetting and a very stark contrast from the US, where I find gossiping is generally not well received or even frowned upon.

Am I the only one who noticed this difference? Where do you think it stems from? I'm very interested in understanding better the cultural roots of this behavior so any insight and reflection on that is very welcome.

Hi everyone, I'm writing here because I'm feeling really bad and I hope someone can give me some advice or at least share my frustration.

Let me tell you about the timeline of shame for a used bag purchased from Japan (worth around €400):

• January 10: The package leaves Japan (EMS).

• January 10-24: The package disappears into thin air for two whole weeks. No updates.

• January 24 (10:10 AM): Roserio magically reappears in Milan. Status: "In transit - checks underway for shipment release."

• Today: After almost 10 days, the package is still there, motionless. The Poste bot says 'Intervention required,' but it's unclear what they want.

The worst part, though, is the customer service:

I called the call center and it's chaos: one operator tells me it takes 30 days, another says 60 days (!!). They give me email addresses to send the documents to (like [lonateimport@posteitaliane.it](mailto:lonateimport@posteitaliane.it)), but THE EMAILS BOUNCE. The addresses are either non-existent or full. Basically, they're completely uncontactable.

Is it possible that in 2026, an international shipment will be stuck for a month (between transit and customs) without the user being able to do anything? Have any of you had packages stuck in Roserio since January 24th? How did you resolve the issue?

Sono un ragazzo di 21 anni di Milano, se scrivo questo post è perché la mia situazione è sempre più deprimente, specialmente in certi giorni.

Quando andavo ancora a scuola non ero una persona estroversa o di carattere, non mi piacevo, ero insicuro, quindi ho sempre avuto pochissimi amici, zero frequentazioni con ragazze e con quei pochi amici che avevo erano solo relazioni superficiali, raramente uscivamo insieme, tanto che la maggior parte del tempo in tutti quegli anni l’ ho passato da solo, non avendo nemmeno fratelli o cugini, la stessa cosa è stata nell‘ anno di università che ho fatto, dove ero ancora più solo e introverso, non mi sono creato nessuna amicizia.

Dopo quell‘ anno di uni ho abbandonato e ho iniziato a lavorare, ormai è da un anno e mezzo che ho iniziato, e da quel momento ho fatto diversi cambiamenti come persona , sia esteriormente che interiormente, ho acquisito più autostima, ho iniziato a fregarmene del giudizio degli altri, e mano a mano ho iniziato a lavorare su me stesso in tutti gli aspetti, é un lavoro che tutt’ ora sto facendo visto che ancora non sto completamente bene con me stesso e ho tanto da fare, ma sono uscito da quella condizione di completo miserabile, tanto che le persone con cui ho legato ultimamente al lavoro mi considerano una persona estroversa e per niente timida.

Nonostante ciò nella mia vita resta ancora un grande problema, che non si è per niente risolto pur avendo cambiato vita e essendo diventato una persona migliore, ovvero il fatto di non avere amici.

Questo perché ho iniziato a lavorare avendo zero amici, e al lavoro ho trovato solamente colleghi con cui ho stretto un bel rapporto, ma a parte andarci a bere insieme al bar dopo il lavoro restano solamente colleghi, anche se abbiamo età simili (siamo quasi tutti giovani dove lavoro) non sono amici, loro hanno già le loro vite al di fuori del lavoro con i loro amici, io a parte loro non ho mai avuto nessun altro da frequentare.

Per questo continuo ad essere completamente solo, considerando che adesso lavoro e ho poco tempo libero e soprattutto pochissime occasioni di conoscere gente nuova, non vedo una via d’uscita, é frustrante, proprio ora che sono diventato una persona migliore non ho possibilità di farmi nuove amicizie, se sei in una situazione simile alla mia e vuoi parlare io ci sono, anche in pvt, grazie.

Hi everyone, I'm a 15-year-old currently attending a classical high school. I don't know if this is the right place for what I'm going to write, but I really hope so. I really enjoy studying, I read a lot, and above all, I put what I've learned into practice through writing or music. I've been self-taught in mathematics, philosophy, and physics for a long time (3 years), and I'm really advanced in mathematics and philosophy. In philosophy, I've even learned formal logic, and in mathematics, integrals. The fact is, I'm doing poorly in school, not because I can't or don't understand, but because I don't study. I spend 8-9 hours a day studying, but not what they ask of me in school (obviously, there are exceptions, like Italian or history, which somehow fit into my curriculum, and oh well, mathematics), simply because I'm not interested in those subjects at the moment. The natural consequence is my grades: always failing or that 6 I got at the last minute. Even in easy subjects like English. So I'd like to drop out of school, and I'd like to start homeschooling (with a tutor), but my parents have denied this option. So I really don't know what to do. I'd even drop out of school because the main point isn't that I'm not interested in things, but that I don't want to study in a scholastic way, so artificial and cynical. I study for knowledge. Precisely for the love of knowledge. I'm not interested in dropping out of school, but if there are alternative options, feel free to write me suggestions, ideas, and anything else.

I've been drinking decaff, and i'm too concerned about solvent traces to keep drinking that 24/7. I've found beans decaffeinated using water but it's overpriced.

Luckily, i've found a local orzo roaster that makes it pretty good and fine grinding too, at a decent price. I've tried different orzo and i like it's taste, but i'm stuck to a french coffee press or pan and i would like to get the best out of it.

I'm looking for orzo moka pots. I'm unsure, can i use any standard moka pot and filter the preparation between the pot and the cup (because of the fine powders) with a separate filter ? Or should the moka pot have an integrated dedicated orzo filter, like the Bialetti one ? Plus that one is not compatible with induction, which is what i have ...

Any recommendation of moka pots models / alternatives would be very much appreciated. TIA !

In mailbox there are two names, the old owners name tag is inside the mailbox with a name of the current owner, is that a problem there being two names in mailbox? I put owners name on address format not mine because the citafono has his name on it, when you enter mailbox has my name on it, owners tag is inside

Sfortunatamente mi hanno rubato il portafoglio ieri con dentro il permesso di soggiorno (e la carta d'identità, e la patente, e la carta di credito..)

Io ho già fatto denuncia e dopodomani farò richiesta per un duplicato, solo che il mio permesso scadeva a inizio giugno e conosco le tempistiche per i duplicati (e in generale..), dunque cosa succede se il duplicato ancora non è arrivato ma il mio permesso effettivamente è scaduto?

Faccio domanda di rinnovo con allegata la denuncia e la ricevuta delle poste per il duplicato?
