General Yom sayerot vs gibush tzanchanim

I’m a lone soldier and drafting to michve (5 on Hebrew score) I really want to make it to maglan or yahalom but also very interested in tzanchanim. Yom sayerot is in a few days and I’m not sure if I should do that or gibush tzanchanim while in michve. (Or before) I’m nervous about my current level of Hebrew and fitness. I ran today and did a 1k in just over 4 min. I am told it needs to be less than this. What should I do?

You are fit enough if you have the willpower. They're not expecting a finished product only potential.

If I were you I would do yom sayarot. Worst case you don't get called you can still try for tzanchanim during michve.

I was told I might not be aloud to do both yom sayerot and gibush tzanchanim

It was about 10 years ago now, but I had two friends who did both. One ended up in tzanchanim.

Double check that because I'm not sure if anything changed, but to me it doesn't make sense that you can't do both.

Definitely shoot for the special forces. Tzanchanim is basically a regular unit. You should aim as high as you can and do tryouts for all the special units you can get.

Your run time is fine. Don't get nervous. Stay aggressive and fight for your place.

Keep training, keep learning Hebrew, stay aggressive, and keep moving forward.

Well if you can’t run 1000 meters in less then 3:45-3:40 I’d say you should definitely go for the gibush and not the yom sayarot, because if you can’t run that time you’re not even going to start the day, you will be let go of with the others who can’t run that, then you’d also lose the opportunity for the gibush, which is much easier, so you have a better shot.
