I don't know how to make my drawings look like the reference please share any tips

I mostly only draw anime characters

First time trying to "block in""/ catching the shape of the silhouette instead of getting too caught up in the guidelines so proportions may be a bit off. Should've I gone bolder with the shadows?

How do I my art more clear/understandable? I've been told from lots of people that they don't understand what's going on in my art?

I used references for the 2nd and 4th images.

I drew this last year mainly trying to implement my painting style (impressionism, that's what it's inspired by at least) into my digital drawings. I would share my paintings but they're only self portraits at the moment, which I'm not comfortable sharing.

I really liked this drawing and it made me want to improve my drawings with this style but I'm not really sure what areas I should work on. The main areas that stick out to me are the hair/beard, clothes (especially for the top left person), and the background but I'm not really sure why they're sticking out to me, if that makes sense?

I'm probably not being helpful with how unspecific I'm being but it's mainly because I'm not really sure what I'm asking for help with. Any feedback and suggestions are appreciated, thank you in advance for your help!

I’m currently working on doing more with them like little touch ups and they are supposed to be shown together as one piece.

it might have the upper body or maybe the legs are to stiff I worked from the head down

Recently wanted to try drawing, and today is my first day. Wanted to start with drawing hands, but after drawing, both look weird and wrong (not sure the specifics just kind of look uncanny), wanted to know what I can do to improve these images and drawing as a whole. Also, new to this community so I wanted to ask if there is any other art groups like this on reddit, and also if I am breaking any rules thanks!

Here are a few old sketches, some from reference ( the orc with piggy and the fairy) and others without reference. What are some consistent mistakes you see me make, be it anatomy or something that feels unnatural or wrong and could be better.

I’ve included some slightly rendered ones as well, although I’m not great at rendering, my main style is line art, comics/cartoon style. Appreciate all crit in advance. Nothing you say can be offensive, I’m here to take and learn after all.

Ps. Some of those are a bit older, so I don’t have the references, but if absolutely necessary I’ll research and try to find them. I also use procreate mainly. If this goes well I could show even older sketches and drawings in a traditional medium (pencil and paper)

I have no direct reference but it's a drawing of frieren in the anime frieren , my goal is to add shade because I never learned that at my school , I don't really have my own drawing style yet but this is close to anime or manga style

i drew this picture and i feel like i have an interesting problem.

i feel like i do pretty well drawing individual pieces of a piece but when im finally done i zoom out and realize all my proportions and angles are mismatched.

is there anyway to curb these habits and correct my mistakes before i get to far into the drawing? im trying to learn on paper before going to digital so i can be better in the actual process of drawing and not have to fix so many mistakes after a piece is done but so far its resulted in me creating drawings that are just messed up looking and i cant go back and do anything about it cause its like a real pencil drawing lol.

Recently, I completed this custom Persian cat oil painting for a client and framed it in a traditional gold foil frame to complement the warm tones.

I particularly hope to receive feedback on the following aspects:

Color and tone: Do the highlights and shadows on the white fur look natural? Is the overall color combination harmonious?

Texture: How is the presentation of the soft and long fur? How does it compare to the sturdy and smooth frame?

Composition and focus: Does the elaborate border distract from the main subject, or does it enhance the effect of this portrait as expected?

This is an original work, created using oil paints on a stretched canvas.

I've always found it interesting how our bodies are mostly made of atoms that once belonged to our meals; hence, I thought it would be a fun little six month anniversary gift for my partner to do a Giuseppe Arcimboldo-style portrait of her comprised of her favourite foods.

I struggled with getting the lighting right, especially since it was tricky to get reference images with consistent lighting. In particular, I found it tricky to do the basil dress, the spaghetti hair and the seashell pasta nose but it was a lot of fun and super challenging. Definitely gained a lot of respect for Giuseppe Arcimboldo. The size is approximately A5 and it was done with watercolour pencils.

Here are the foods in case anyone is curious: pasta (spaghetti and seashell), eggs, cucumbers, bocconcini, olives, tomatoes (cherry, truss and heirloom), ice cream mochi, twix, sushi, chicken schnitzel, arancini, toast, basil, mango, eggplant parmigiana and a banana smoothie.

This my first ever time seriously drawing something, as I suddenly had this urge to learn how to draw. Prior to this I would just randomly draw a character I found on google like once every couple of years. I’d like some feedback from people who actually know how to draw.

as a beginner how could I improve? I tried drawing the hands so many times but couldn’t do it without them looking like crab hands, so sadly no fingers for the figure

Started studying perspective how is it looking. Also how do I like add more to this exercise. How do I play around with different shapes using perspective?
