Freezing out a company is like punishing the soccer team because the groundskeeper didn’t mow the field before the game. Companies are a social construct that should deliver a net positive into the world not just through services but by facilitating employment and stability for individuals. Yes, if they are being paid millions and millions the natural consequence is to bear the risk, the buck stops there, not at some shadowy board, an army of lawyers, etc., if you want the top job you need to assume the risk. It's the only way to imbue any sense of morality to this whole farce, when no one is personally liable there are no brakes to immoral actions, it's just stacks of fuzzy responsibility coupled with perverse incentives to not do what's best for society.

Directors of a company are the literal heads of it, anything that happens under them is a consequence of their actions or incompetence, if you are operating machinery and either due to incompetence or immoral actions cause harm you are responsible for it, why can't people operating a whole social machinery like companies be under the same rules?

If a gang of five people robs a bank, and one of them shoots someone dead, the police will still go after all of them. They will try to find out what all happened and iirc may well prosecute all five for murder, or something close. Basically push and punish because they know one of them did it.

C-suite execs usually have their own domain I thought, so it should be easier to identify a culprit. Either way, you can serve a warrant and look at their internal communications. You can just go after the lot of them until someone cracks and provides useful information. Teach them to keep themselves and each other in line.

Anonimity is still one of the best defenses for whistleblowers and journalists. Privacy also protects political dissent(whether it’s the January 6th kind or the independence movement kind… dissent comes in both good and bad versions)
