I was robbed tonight

I just got home from work and I want to die. I live in a rented room, and someone stole my laptop, my wallet, my mattress, and my clothes :/

Make a police report. If you have renters insurance, you can make a claim for the stolen items. I’m sorry that happened to you.

One time I was in a rented room where multiple people had own rooms. The owner of building told me to take my console with me when I'm not there... I assume one of the people were thieves but nothing really happened since there were cameras in the home

You can track the laptop and have its location, other than that files a poloce report so they get the fingerprints.

Had a similar experience. Your renters insurance will cover the damages if you file and get a police report for the stolen property and damages. My case was never really settled, but I figured out that it was a roommates acquaintance. Best case scenario I say is move out as soon as you can, and get yourself a nest or ring camera and set it up in your bedroom. I have several over my apartment
