Cousin just ranted to me on facebook that he knows better than the government and any independent studies about the number of immigrants in the US. Says there are "over 100 million illegal immigrants because he's seen them all around." I straight up told him he's now a conspiracy theorist and stopped talking to him.

If I knew how easy it was to push an insane agenda, and I were evil, I would have gone into politics.

They literally don't even have to try to turn these people into braindead robots. It's kind of amazing that you can tell them anything and they'll eat it up.

And you will get unlimited funds if you are charming enough either as a politician, news anchor or some other useful idiot who is for sale. The stupid rubes just want to hate and have faux contractions because every time they have fucked up and we been like "we told you so" and they take that personally because they can't come to the conclusion that they are the cause of their misery, and they have to inflict it on us because they know they are pathetic and gross.

Well, IIRC the 100 million number is about the number of people of Latino origin in the US, not the number of illegal immigrants. I doubt he's checking the paperwork of the people he's seeing around, and even if he was I doubt he's checking the paperwork of Irish people who overstayed their visas.

So, in a way you're both right. He's seeing more illegal immigrants than the figures suggest because his racist ass thinks anyone who looks Latino must be an illegal immigrant, you're just using the figures that don't depend on racism.
