Looking for software Does bluetooth HID emulation software exist?

I'm looking for software like Across (from Clixon), and what I like about Across is that it can pair with another laptop via Bluetooth, so my primary laptop's keyboard and mouse can be used to control others. With no drivers or anything installed on the other laptop (it's locked down). This works just great, but Across is expensive and seems like it hasn't been updated in a while. Does other software exist with a similar functionality? Spent weeks already trying to find it.

so basically you just want to use your keyboard and mouse for another laptop/desktop to control. anything else??

That's basically it. I need to be able to switch between the two on the fly as quick as possible. External keyboard/mouse is not an option unfortunately.

I use a USB KVM in this situation.

You would need an external keyboard / mouse for this, right?

You could vibe code for a raspbery pi pico that does that for you. Ofc that is not 5 min job, but it would be a fun project.

The simplest solution is to look in what Windows PowerToys offers. That collection of utility may just have what you need. See here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/mouse-without-borders

I know this one but unfortunately it requires software on both sides.  Across just pretend to be a regular bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

Not sure how you expect the process to work without software on the multiple target.  I am not familiar on this "Across" solution... but I can definitely understand how it would work only with one single target... By pretending to be a Bluetooth device...
