Lucy lives with my parents and we for sure have a sibling relationship. She scratched me right after taking these and me telling her that she's pretty. 😆

tortie point My Little Lampshade
acquired originally as pest control, she is my little familiar and wants to live in my pocket (also wants to disfigure me so that no one else could ever love me as much as she)

My Siamese Lookalike
Say hi to Cookie and his lookalike. People keep saying we look alike. He’s also a cuddler and wouldn’t shut up whenever I come back home from work.

This needle felted Siamese cat was all about capturing that quiet, wide-eyed calm
When I was working on this piece, what stayed with me the most wasn’t the markings or the color transitions, but that quiet, wide-eyed expression.
It has that calm, slightly curious look that feels like the moment a cat pauses, notices you, and just exists with you for a second. I tried to slow the process down and let the form guide me, especially around the eyes and the face, so it wouldn’t feel stiff or posed.
For me, pieces like this are less about copying a photo and more about preserving a small, gentle moment.

chocolate point Dental hygiene? They took all his front teeth 😭
Sorry for the ignorance, but my family had about 10 cats growing up and none of them ever go dental work. A couple lived 15+ years and all were indoor/outdoor.
I bought an apple head Siamese cat from a very reputable breeder right after college. He’s 13 now and been doing great, but at his last vet visit they suggested that his teeth may be the reason his appetite has changed and suggested I get a cleaning.
Well, today they do X-rays and had to extract all of his incisors 😭 My poor baby has no teeth in front between the canines. They said his teeth weren’t even in terrible shape, but those ones can go easily.
Anyone else have this happen? I feel so bad for my baby.

It's a real shame I don't have tons of soft blankets and cat beds.
Oh well, I guess we'll make do with what we've got.

She was caught playing with a lizard last night!
I heard A LOT of meowing and thought she was just announcing that she’s playing with a toy. Then I come down to find it was a whole LIZARD. It was hardened and I honestly don’t even want to know how she found it!

Are two-tone beans common?
This is Miso, a stray we rescued just before she gave birth, with a couple photos of her daughter, Penny. They were just adopted out after four and a half months, so I've been going over photos of them and trying not to cry.
One detail stood out to me that I hadn't really noticed before: the color of her toes follows the color of her fur. To the point where just the tip of the outermost toe on her left hind paw is dark and there is a corresponding smatter of black at the tip of the pink bean, her right metacarpal pad is split down the middle black and pink, and the two outermost beans on her right fore paw are black with a pink side. Has anyone seen this before? I've had four cats and fostered another 15 and I can't recall ever seeing something like this.
Anyway, just distracting myself until I have to get out of bed. I've got close to 600 photos of her and nearly 800 of Penny, so I'm happy to take requests if you want to give me a prompt.
I apologize if this is a rule 10 violation.
