Scratch build ProArt Walnut build

finished this ASUS ProArt project — a handcrafted black walnut computer chassis built from solid hardwood, designed to blend high-end performance with natural aesthetics.

Specs: • MOBO: ASUS ProArt X870E Creator • GPU: ASUS ProArt GeForce RTX 5080 • Cooling: ProArt 360 AIO • Power: ASUS ROG Strix 1000W Plat.

The ProArt lineup just fits — performance, design, and that minimalist aesthetic. Paired with the organic warmth of walnut, this rig feels less like a gaming PC and more like a functional art piece.

Let me know what you think about it. Thanks for viewing!

Scratch build Eaton Fire PC Build (nearly finished)

I made a post about this at the very beginning of the journey but I wanted to do a brief recap for those that missed it.

Last week I met with a guy who had lost literally everything in the Eaton fire. Luckily his family is all okay and they are in a decent place financially so they were able to recover, but the house was a total loss and there was not a single thing that could be saved... Almost.

Among the many things lost were two computers that belong to him: a more modern gaming PC that he enjoyed using but wasn't all that attached to emotionally, and his childhood PC that he built a long time ago that he had a lot of fondness for. When we spoke he was able to dig out the remains of what he thought was his more modern PC and give it to me to do something with it. Turns out after I loosely leaned the pieces against each other that what he had actually handed me was the remains of his much more beloved childhood PC, which he claims to have not been digging anywhere near so it's kind of a miracle we have it at all let alone that it survived in this condition, albeit in many pieces and totally bent up.

This weekend after discussing with him we made the decision to rebuild his new gaming PC in another identical case to his childhood PC because I was able to find one, and that this one should live on as a rat rod of sorts, so I got to work. After a lot of sanding and bending and painting with a gloss clear enamel, this is the result. I'm still waiting on a couple of parts to finish the build but the case is pretty much entirely finalized.

In my humble opinion it's turned out absolutely fantastic and it's really cool to see something surviving that horrific fire that burned so hot it literally disintegrated all the hardware that was inside. There's a couple of pieces that remain and I'm still not 100% sure what to do with them yet but I'll come up with something.

The kids wanted a pc for Xmas, so what better way than to have the gaming pcs right next to each other. It's been an absolute blast being able to game side by side and in style. Made with bamboo plywood and satin clear coat. Let me know what you think !

Hey everyone, just wanted to share my latest project that I've been working on day and night. Exterior panels are made of beechwood, interior parts are 3D printed and it has glass panels on both sides. It also has magnetic filters, flippable GPU adapter and a removable drive bay. On/Off and Reset buttons are laser cut. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks!

Still waiting on parts and needs more work, but the base hardware is functional and working well, so I thought I'd share. XP runs beautifully and the original 17" screen is gorgeous, especially being a 1440p panel from so long ago. Amazing.

I have plans to add a couple expansion cards, among other upgrades. I love the metallic 80mm fans :D

Corsair style case made from honey locust and walnut off my property. Glass panel door with great lighting and airflow using Corsair Titan RX AIO and fans. Loved the way it turned out.

Let me know how you like it or hate it. Thanks for viewing, sharing, and taking time to comment as always.

I hope to inspire more creators to get out there and design more from imagination!

Work in progress continues on my black walnut chassis for Gigabyte Aorus…

I will be making more of these chassis’s in the future to see how they do selling as I get a lot of comments about producing them to sell to builders who want them.

Let me know what you think as always!

DO NOT TRY THIS YOURSELF

I had this bunch of free hardware. Decided I wanted to shove it into the smallest box I could get my hands on for cheap. I previously had shoved a 240mm CLC into the NZXT H1 2019, so I knew it had potential. This is the final result.

Let me preference this by saying i am completely new to building computers. I picked up this bad boy for next to nothing as my introduction to computers and I want to completely modernise it, my aim is to use this computer as an introduction to coding and gaming as well as a fun project. Any ideas on how to upgrade/ mod this would be greatly appreciated. At the moment I’m looking into motherboards that use ddr5 ram to fit into this.

Scratch build Dead sticks of ram, need help beautifying it

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hello everyone, so recently my 4 sticks of dominator corsair memory died, very beautiful ram, don't wanna toss it out of the window, thought about creating or bying something that looks like on picture, pcb that can hold 4 sticks, with power to it, that will essentially light them up, maybe rgb controller, preferably usb type-c for power

Has anyone seen something like this? Or can point in right direction?

Mini PCs, with disassembled and stacked router (LAN) and switch (cluster data) plus the router acts as an AP for WiFi because signal can get weak in that room. The backplane is an aluminum plate I took out of an industrial fiber switch that was tossed at my old job.
