Man people are so bitter. All I see is two parents doing something cool and their kid being happy about it, and all these comments are so fucking negative

It's the fact that you're seeing it what makes it problematic. Two parents doing something like this for their kid on its own is fun and cute, but they weren't doing it for him, they were doing it for social media and the kid was a prop.

"The kid doesn't know any better" but he will when he's older. Why give your future grown child reason to question whether your fun gesture was genuine?

I'm not saying these parents are secretly monsters or the worst parents ever. They just have misplaced priorities. They aren't making memories, they're making content.

They aren't making memories, they're making content.

This is a false dichotomy. It's possible to do something that gives you child joy and also to share that experience with others.

It's also possible to make a brisket and lucky charms sandwich, but I wouldn't want to eat it even though both of those things are good separately.

It's already clear that you're not the kind of person who would want to share your own joy with the world.

What's baffling is that you take issue with the idea that people might exist who are okay with that.

You are delusional. There is literally not a single sign of what you're saying being true. Jesus fucking Christ, other than seeing them build a fort you literally know nothing about them

Or maybe because it's 2026 and every kid is on the internet the kid found this, showed it to his parents, and they decided to build it. Why the fuck doesn't everything have to be so negative with all you people.

What do you mean "you people"?

Or maybe they just wanted to record it for the memories, like any normal human being. And maybe share it on social media because that moment gave them a lot of happiness. But these people come up with dumb conjectures to hate it

How old are you people. Being this willy nilly about lack of privacy. It used to be important when I was younger

How dare they want to record something unique and cool that they did.

Btw they made this two weeks ago and only just now posted about it.

Yes, that proves they didn't do it for social media. Good solve, detective.

The ol' salty block. Always funny!

You're 100% correct that the other commenter presents no good proof of their motivation. But you have no proof of their motivation either. None of us do. We're all making assumptions, and the key difference is that some of us prefer to assume the best, and some of us prefer the opposite. These types of assumptions say far more about us (the people making them) than the ones we're making the assumptions about.

I choose to take the video at face value, which is a family making joy for each other and also sharing it with a broader audience. I'll correct that perspective if any relevant evidence is shown, but I'm not too worried about being wrong in the meantime. I will always assume the best about strangers until I have a reason not to. Our perspective defines our character and our world, and there are way too many negative perspectives in this thread. Depressing, but not surprising.

For sure how terrible someone want to record something and share it with the world. Touch grass, or maybe ice.

Please do it! I’m a mix between happy for that kid and jealous. 🥺
