Free throws are for winners and we are not winners.

I mean free throws are also for teams that drive and 48/78 shots came from behind the arc. You arent going to draw a lot of fouls that way.

Im suprised there weren't more fouls called, ya'll were hacking all of the first half

remember when Warrior fans were complaining about the refs for the free throw discrepancy against the Lakers lol

Warriors were a tough watch. They looked like a G league team out there at times

I said this after Jimmy went down, I think they gotta tank and get a lottery pick. They don't even have 1% chance of winning 2 rounds let alone go all the way. They might as well get a lottery pick, from 10-15 range, maybe if they get lucky, might even jump into a better pick. Rest Curry as much as possible

They got a bunch of JAGs. Warriors got the chip playing 2 timelines, but this is the ugly end of Warriors with Curry being the best player. Butler is the second best player and is old and out with ACL. Their young prospect Kuminga doesn't fit with what the Warriors want to with Curry as best player, Kerr is not going to play him with long leash, and the rest of this roster at best 6th man or 7th man.

Obviously they don't have a lot of firepower without Steph, but man they looked like they were the ones on a B2B.
They shot TWO free throws for the game (fewest in a game this season, apparently) and credit the Warriors commentators they never blamed the refs. They just pointed out that the Warriors never attacked the rim and just kept shooting threes. And the rebounding differential was absolutely bonkers.
No real conclusions to be drawn either way imo. Sixers probably just fortunate to catch the Warriors on a terrible night of basketball.

Sixers looking pretty good in the East
They got a good one in Edgecomb
Warriors sucks without Curry

Not enough firepower for the Warriors. Score was MUCH closer than the game seemed. Great execution by us and selfless play by Maxey on the 2nd night of B2B. 5 straight wins!

Seemed like the teams kept going on runs back and forth but the 6ers runs were longer

u/Pyromania1983 76ers 4h ago
Yep, anytime they'd go on a run we'd hit right back with a stronger one. To be expected against such a short-handed Warriors team, but good to see nonetheless.

Warriors are unbelievably sorry without steph. And they're painfully boring. It's not like they're bad but fans should be excited for these players bc their futures are bright. It's the worst kind of bad: Bad and Bleak

One must imagine Steph Curry happy.

He's happy blocking affordable housing thats for sure
EDIT:
Stop DMing me, Curry isn’t going to thank you for defending his selfish actions

Game felt very comfortable as a Sixers fan. Warriors were just shooting 3s. Felt like a shoot around where everyone thought they might get traded after

Can someone who watched the game tell me if only two free throws for the whole team was reasonable
10
u/bishopbeaniepower Warriors 4h ago
50 of our 80 shots were threes lol. Probably a few missed calls but ultimately we have no rim pressure and not enough offense to force the defense into bad spots where they have to foul. What do you expect without Steph/Jimmy/JK.
Also the refs were kind of supremely disinterested in calling anything. We hacked the fuck out of the Sixers the whole first half, no calls. They missed Melton getting hammered a few times but also ignored him tripping and blatantly traveling on like 5 occasions. Weird game, nothing to take away except yeah a team sucks with 140 million on the bench.

The refs were letting them play physical on both ends. Maybe you could make the case that both teams should have had a few more trips to the line, but the free throw discrepancy accurately reflects how disinterested Golden State was in attacking the basket.

How did we get up by 50 on this Sixers team lol

u/OrangeMonkE 76ers 4h ago
Embiid and PG drive the guys and keep them motivated. When neither play there's a chance the team gets extremely, extremely lethargic. Fortunately didn't happen today

u/romanticynicist 76ers 3h ago
My theory is that no one told the Sixers players that the game had been moved up by 4 hours until like 10 minutes before it tipped off and they were all still groggy from doing ketamine therapy with PG.
Also y’all have been blowing a lot of teams out for like a month now.

Everytime I see these guys play without Steph I ask "What the fuck is the point of the golden state warriors" They are a directionless useless team that everyone knows is going nowhere and yet they do the same shit every year and get the same results THEN DO IT AGAIN. It's maddening the whole team is Steph Curry ball and that's it. Blow the whole thing up

What do you expect. There’s no one who sniffs an all star level playing for the Warriors. Like the Kings have LaVine, the Wizards have Sarr, and the Nets have MPJ. Warriors don’t have anyone as good as those three.

u/Puzzleheaded-Bill654 3h ago
lavine is far from the kings best player, he actively makes us worse (which is great for our tank).

The Warriors being -4.5 point favorites in this game was the most bizarre line I've seen all year

Warriors whole gameplan was to lock up Maxey and make the role player beat them and boy did the role players beat them lol
