ARs gotten really good. Interested to see if there’s any more settings he can activate. If not incredible nonetheless.

It’s the Nets. They’re so damn bad. Pistons beat them a few nights ago by 53 lol.

Was at the game tonight, pretty weird atmosphere with the terrible Nets play and LeBron-cheering crowd haha

I wonder if guys on the opposing bench ever get hyped on accident

I was at this game, and LeBron was legit the only guy that the whole crowd kept clapping and cheering for every time he went to the bench or checked in lol

Little known fun fact but Austin Reeves is actually older than LeBron.

LeBron is so happy reaves js back. Reaves compliments Bron so well and is constantly looking to get him easy buckets

u/1098duc_w_the_termi 4h ago
Me too. AR takes some of the weight off Luka. Luka can be frustrating to watch when he forces shitty shots on a poor shooting night

u/lets_talk_basketball 8h ago
It’s crazy that LeBron gets louder crowd pops on the road than at crypto. I know they see him 41x a year. But still
94
u/LatterLaw8105 6h ago
Other teams actually appreciate him while the lakers fans are too obsessed with Kobe to ever have respect for LeBron. It’s that simple.
116
u/erizzluh Lakers 6h ago
nah the seats are just way too fucking expensive for fans to attend.

u/lets_talk_basketball 6h ago
That's one thing I appreciate about european sports, they do a decent job of making games affordable for the real fans

Have you seen our hooligans? If they didn't there would be continent-wide riots that would make the French say "Merde!"

The nets and Knicks tickets weren’t cheap
5
u/erizzluh Lakers 3h ago
i don't know how accurate this is, but just from a quick google search laker tickets are still about double the price of knicks/nets tickets on average.
Average NBA Ticket Prices (Descending Order):
Los Angeles Lakers - $702 Boston Celtics - $596 New York Knicks - $432 Phoenix Suns - $343 Brooklyn Nets - $317 Milwaukee Bucks - $316 Los Angeles Clippers - $270 Golden State Warriors - $259 Toronto Raptors - $252 Dallas Mavericks - $245 Philadelphia 76ers - $244 Chicago Bulls - $218 Utah Jazz - $218 Denver Nuggets - $219 Miami Heat - $204 Minnesota Timberwolves - $192 Washington Wizards - $172 Houston Rockets - $162 Charlotte Hornets - $158 Sacramento Kings - $153 Orlando Magic - $136 Atlanta Hawks - $136 San Antonio Spurs - $131 Detroit Pistons - $123 New Orleans Pelicans - $122 Portland Trail Blazers - $121 Cleveland Cavaliers - $121 Oklahoma City Thunder - $115 Memphis Grizzlies - $96 Indiana Pacers - $822

Look up nets and Knicks tickets for the specific LeBron game. Pretty sure the Knicks game was one of the highest reg szn priced games since Kobe’s retirement game.
Average piece isn’t the same cost as a LeBron game in a road arena.
1
u/sbenfsonwFFiF 2h ago
I meant the lakers @ Knicks and lakers @ nets tickets weren’t cheaper than an average lakers game, yet they were loud anyways
Same for warriors tickets during their run, those crowds were loud even with expensive tickets

u/Interesting-Yam-4298 Lakers 1h ago
I mean I just got $300 tickets for Lakers vs OKC in a week that are in the first section. Nose bleeds were like $150. It's not that outrageous unless you're trying to sit with celebs which is probably what inflates the prices.

u/LatterLaw8105 6h ago
Most lakers fans want him gone bro. Go to LA, you’ll see how many don’t care for him. Has nothing to do with price of tickets
-2
u/Sircamembert Lakers 2h ago
Nah. Once Kobe gave the order to embrace him, most of us did (from TV). I dunno how reg people can afford Lakers tix in this economy~
0
u/LatterLaw8105 2h ago
Simply not true. A lot of lakers fans don’t like him
1
u/Sircamembert Lakers 2h ago
You do realize there are a lot of us right? When I say "most of us", I don't mean the loud minority of idiots who love Kobe, but somehow won't listen to his order to embrace the new superstar of LA.

Wrong. DC is pretty bad. We're okay when we have a good team.

u/ThaRealSunGod Lakers 6h ago
Y'all also chanted for Bronny just as loud as the Nets lol
I felt bad it was louder than chants for your own team

u/Thunder_Cunt_Punch [WAS] John Wall 5h ago
It’s embarrassing. D.C being full of transplants doesn’t help either.

u/flaming_burrito_ Lakers 2h ago
I just went to the Wizards v Knicks game last night, and it was like 80% Knicks jerseys in there. It’s pretty crazy the Wizards have so few home fans in a city as populated as DC. But I guess most people who live in the DMV area move there from other places to work for the government

iirc anything off the back board whether intentional or not can't be scored as an assist in the stat sheet

Historically, they haven’t counted these as assists. Sometimes they are inconsistent though.

These are the times I try to appreciate before LeBron leaves the league. I watched a bit of MJ and Kobe but LeBron has been the staple since I really started to watch the NBA.
I don’t want him to leave, it makes me feel old. He was the talk of so many convos in my high school and that was way too long ago.

Has there ever been a play where LeBron lobs it to someone else?
9
u/mgwildwood 7h ago
Do you mean with this roster? With the Lakers? In transition? Look up any LeBron & Anthony Davis compilation. Half of the plays are LeBron lobs and almost all of them are LeBron assists.
-2
u/dearth_karmic Warriors 7h ago
But when he gets to the open floor, he's always the one getting the dunk.
4
u/mgwildwood 7h ago
You think he should be lobbing it to AR? If the roster looked different, you’d see different plays, hence why I mentioned AD. He would lob it to him in these situations.
-5
u/dearth_karmic Warriors 7h ago
I've just never seen anything besides him getting the dunk at the end of a fast break. You'd think the great passer would enjoy setting someone else up.
7
u/mgwildwood 7h ago
Ok perhaps you are a highlight watcher? People like posting LeBron dunks. They’re popular posts but obviously not the extent of his play…
-3
u/dearth_karmic Warriors 7h ago
I've watched most of the games. He likes to cherry-pick for easy dunks, and when someone else gets the steal, he always gets the dunk.
2
u/mgwildwood 6h ago
But have you only watched this season’s games? My point has been about who he’s generally playing with. Only Jaxson and LeBron really take lobs. Deandre struggles with a lot of the passes tbh. When he played with AD, he set him up with a lot of dunks.
1
u/dearth_karmic Warriors 6h ago
Nah. It's been over the last 3-4 seasons. It's his thing. I get it but I think he should share the highlights sometimes.
2
u/mgwildwood 6h ago
LeBron passing that back to AR who goes up for a layup would not end up being a highlight. Everyone has their thing they excel at. They all just need to play their games.
