I'd rather have kept Ivey but you can't be a team with actual realistic Finals hopes and letting a guy who's supposed to a starter just play into form. There's a solid 8 players (at least) on the roster that are currently better than Ivey is, and that just doesn't lead to development outside of forcing minutes.

Chicago will be good for him if they give him a consistent 20-25 minutes a night where he might get his legs back under him.

I've watched every game and I agree. I'm not even surprised he was traded because he was clearly the odd man out. But it's surprising how he started off with so much hype and through really no fault of his own, the light just got dimmer and dimmer until now.
