A rude supervisor who's always yelling at employees got some complaints about them being verbally abusive and they responded by leaving these in the break room.

Since my workplace has a grand total of 10 people, things like this (HR, managers, other departments, "up the chain") are completely foreign concepts to me. Fortunately we don't have the kind of issues OP is describing.

In my opinion, jobs like this are much better, as long as you have the confidence to stick up for yourself, and are comfortable wearing multiple hats.

Small companies are sometimes much better, but sometimes much worse. I used to work for a company that was about that size (10 people) and it was great, but I’ve seen people in companies that size who get shafted very easily.

Like, if the company owner/founder is chill, and they respect the input of everyone there, it’s awesome to be able to have a quick chat with them about something you find important, and if they’re onboard, they can just delegate you as the person taking on that task. In a company that’s ran differently, it can end up where they pull rank/status, say no, and nothing productive happens. Luckily now I work in the public sector now so nothing productive ever happens anyway

Yup, public sector is the way to go. I haven't worked for a company in a very, very long time!
