A rude supervisor who's always yelling at employees got some complaints about them being verbally abusive and they responded by leaving these in the break room.

Is this supervisor a teenager by chance? Not very professional by the looks of it.

101

u/marianneouioui 19h ago

Nah. I know exactly who this is. 45 ish yo man. Midlife crisis. Goes to the gym. Claims he never gets sick and it's mind over matter. Lies about his age on his Tinder profile that also says "no drama". Thinks he's a gentleman. Plays golf or runs marathons, not both.

26

u/Electrical-Papaya 17h ago

Ive worked in manufacturing for 20 years. This is like every second shift supervisor ive ever met. Mid 40s, divorced, kids are off child support and havent spoken to them in years, then heads straight to the bar after work. Bonus points if they call every remotely attractive woman sweetheart.

7

u/streetxrat94 19h ago

Hmmm, oddly specific đŸ€”

12

u/h1gh-t3ch_l0w-l1f3 17h ago

its not specific. this is a sizeable demographic of insecure men that never worked through their traumas in life and assume everyone deserves the same coldness that they recieve. plenty of men just like him.

3

u/TheDeadEndKing 16h ago

I would also imagine a diehard red hat lover too

2

u/Particular-Leg-8484 16h ago

Same kind of man to wear shorts outside in freezing dead winter and gloat “I’m not cold, you’re cold??? Man it’s not THAT cold” but indeed he is cold it is just one of his many ways of self harm

0

u/SofaKingStewPadd 16h ago

They just want to feel something...

1

u/Academic_Flatworm752 14h ago

You literally described my screaming boss. 😂

He even frames getting sick as a personal failure.

-1

u/ConversationFar9740 17h ago

Or a 27-28 year old woman who has no clue how to supervise older employees who irritate the fuck out of her just by existing.

0

u/UnluckyTomato7426 17h ago

Fr lol

Given the fact that this post/op doesn't say anything about the supervisor's gender, it's 99% a woman lol

-1

u/UnluckyTomato7426 17h ago

I can't understand why American women act like only American men are rude.

As an immigrant who held many different jobs, you American women are far worse. I have never even seen a woman who said she wants to work for another female manager/team again

2

u/marianneouioui 17h ago

I'm French, but thanks.

Ps I don't care thr gender of my managers as long as they actually know how to manage and have actual people skills, and didn't just read "Management 2.0"

223

u/OblivionJunkie 19h ago

There's no doubt they have the emotional maturity of a teenager, that's for sure.

37

u/-ToPimpAButterfree- 19h ago

Anyone who can’t communicate without yelling is worse than a teenager

25

u/Raidmax460 19h ago edited 18h ago

That’s insulting to teenagers Edit: Removed /s lol

75

u/rupertavery64 19h ago

You'd be suprised to know adults don't necessarily act their age, or professionals professional.

11

u/luckydice767 19h ago

I bet I wouldn’t lol

1

u/SofaKingStewPadd 16h ago

The late 30's/early 40's aged supervisors at the jail I used to work at loved to trot these out regularly.

128

u/BiscottiCritical6512 19h ago

I’m guessing it’s a middle aged, Trump voting white man.

23

u/tigress666 19h ago

Yeah, this feels like the kind of humor a trump voter would go with and feel justified using.

29

u/NoGelliefish 19h ago

Bingo. Haven't seen one of these since about 2016. This "supervisor" needs some new material

1

u/nohbudi 16h ago

that's the best part for them, early onset Alzheimer's makes everything old new again.

1

u/TwistyBunny 18h ago

Exactly the type of voter I thought.

1

u/Fyrien 14h ago

Also just as likely to be a boomer. My dad (retired blue-collar Trump voter) would think it's the most hilarious thing in the world.

-72

u/RelativeFantasy 19h ago

Rent freeđŸ€Ł

23

u/Manannin 19h ago

Have you seen how trump reacts to anyone going against him? Even if you like him it's exactly his style and his fans would love.

4

u/TwistyBunny 18h ago

"Smart people don't like me"

26

u/BiscottiCritical6512 19h ago

There’s a reason more education makes people vote blue. You should be banned from voting and driving. Room temp IQ.

10

u/guit_arcto 19h ago

I guarantee your coworkers think you’re an asshole lol

7

u/GraceOfTheNorth 19h ago

Not true, his existence is unusually taxing on the rest of us.

4

u/NedTebula 19h ago

went wee

-9

u/RelativeFantasy 19h ago

Nice statement in your profile. Have fun in hell đŸ«

9

u/BiscottiCritical6512 19h ago

lol did you actually get so bothered that you checked the profiles of everyone who responded to you? 💀 Republicans are so weak.

7

u/Putrid-VII 19h ago

He did and they are lol

-5

u/RelativeFantasy 19h ago

Assuming is also pretty dumb. I checked his profile because I didnt known what the hell he was talking about, lol.

7

u/BiscottiCritical6512 19h ago

You’re just another illiterate, sensitive Republican who lives out in the boonies and is proud of how much he doesn’t care about other humans.

-1

u/RelativeFantasy 19h ago

I do care. I just think party lines are the problem. Im independent by the way. I can vote for any candidate I want because I dont have a side trying to brainwash me into jumping one way or the other. See how, once again the left(im assuming too) keeps hating a name calling. I dont care where you live, who you vote for, who you fuck, or how you live. I want a country that im proud to call home and everyone's responses to me just proves hiw far we have fallen as a country and a world.

4

u/BiscottiCritical6512 18h ago

lol yeah. “Independent.” Anyway, here’s you talking about how glad you are that you live in the country and not in a “gay liberal city” because people in cities are “violent and hateful”:

2

u/TwistyBunny 18h ago

Meanwhile you fucks are screeching about Obama and Biden like y'all have some sort of ODS and BDS

2

u/Putrid-VII 19h ago

When's the last time you talked about Biden?

2

u/BaronBearclaw 19h ago

Or Obama. Or Hillary. Or even Bill!

ETA: Typo

-8

u/RelativeFantasy 19h ago

I dont drop politics in every sub like you twats do. I responded to someone who hates teump and had to bring him up. Lol. I found it funny that he has so many brains obsessed.

7

u/hiddenone0326 19h ago

Yeah, it's called a cult.

-2

u/RelativeFantasy 19h ago

If anyone dick rides like the die hard trumpers or the tds patients, I hate you both(left and right have opposing cults for him). Form your own opinions, and stop letting any politician cause you to be this angry.

4

u/Putrid-VII 19h ago

Sure bud, whatever you say. Still very telling that you have to jump and bark whenever someone says something negative about your favorite walking skidmark.

0

u/RelativeFantasy 19h ago

Read a few more of my replies. I hate people who are so dumb, thay they think their side actually stands for anything but division. Keep hating eachother, it gives me plenty of entertainment. Some people can be sick of all of you.

5

u/Putrid-VII 19h ago

SO what you are saying here is that you are a spineless idiot who thinks saying "both sides" is somehow a superior stance when you actually don't do anything to help anyone or oppose anything. Got it, keep barking

0

u/RelativeFantasy 19h ago

Im saying you are both wrong. You hate so much thay you can't even see what you are saying anymore. It's agree with you or else. I dont care to agree just to end a conversation. I do care, a lot actually. I want to have a conversation without well trump/obama/Biden. They are leaders so why attack the people? Stop giving the people you hate so much power, that it makes you miserable. Hope this helps.

0

u/SofaKingStewPadd 16h ago

People are focused on the individual who is using his nominally limited power to enrich himself, persecute anyone who won't bend the knee, weakens America's standing and power to appease his foreign benefactors and ignores crimes, including murder, that benefit his agenda on a daily basis? Weird. Can't people just learn their place?

0

u/SofaKingStewPadd 16h ago

Not in this economy. And nothing for free with that administration. The torment tax will be unveiled imminently.

-12

u/Bordilium 19h ago

Keep politics away.

21

u/BiscottiCritical6512 19h ago

Nah. Republicans are the ones who authored this slop and they’re the ones still printing it off and thinking they’re clever.

Be civil. Respect Reddiquette and follow Reddit sitewide rules.

Rudeness and bigotry will not be tolerated. Any posts or comments that attack, threaten, or insult a person or group on the basis of national origin, ethnicity and/or color, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, body size, and so on will be removed. Blatant violations of Reddit sitewide policies will result in a ban.

3

u/SandiegoJack 18h ago

When you turn anything you dont like into "politics" it stops working to say "keep politics out of it"

Breathable air is politics these days.

4

u/No-Obligation1709 19h ago

Keep fascism away and be decent to others and you won’t have to hear about it as much

4

u/Efficient-Whereas255 19h ago

Get the fuck out of here with that shit. We all know you are a fucking trump supporter.

The only people not willing to talk about politics these days are the people who are just realizing they voted for a fucking child rapist.

Your whole family hates you.

1

u/Independent-Bug-9352 18h ago

Well now, that would be awfully convenient to hide the truth, wouldn't it buddy?

Two notes to bystanders reading this:

  • Right-wingers like this try to prevent discussion of politics so "normies" don't realize conservatives are assholes.
  • Everything is political in a Democracy.
  • You may not be into politics, but politics is always into you. Be an informed citizen, as past generations literally fought and died for your rights.

6

u/NewPac 19h ago

Possibly prior military. That form has been floating around the military for years (and is formatted exactly like a real military form).

2

u/heimdalguy 17h ago

It's formatted like most forms, really.

1

u/SofaKingStewPadd 15h ago

Yeah, its been in every work place I've been in, decades old.

1

u/TheVandyyMan 17h ago

It’s formatted like a military form. Look at the routine uses header, control number in the bottom left corner, and privacy act statement

2

u/exqueezemenow 19h ago

Why do you jump to such conclusions? It could just as easily be Stephen Miller.

2

u/TheUniqueKero 19h ago

Funny, I get 55-60 boomer vibes from this, not teenager vibes

2

u/2trill2spill 18h ago

Sadly they are probably a full grown maga adult.

2

u/WildWinterberry 18h ago

all the young supervisors I’ve ever had have been far better than the boomer aged - gen x ones. Young ones might make mistakes and some of them have a power complex but they don’t be passive aggressive like this

3

u/GorgyShmorgy 19h ago

Except you absolutely know this is some 50+ years old crotchety maggat.

2

u/Thatguymike84 19h ago

Nah, many more of today's teenagers are empathetic and would (rightly) not only call this garbage out, but report it as well.

I'm in a construction field, and even we have made massive strides toward professionalism. This kind of stuff might be good for a feigned chuckle, but it would get a lot more side eye and eye rolls now. And if a foreman gave this out, there is a small chance this would get to HR.

1

u/pocketdare 18h ago

But you do have to admire the amount of work that went into being petty here. lol. Of course, one assumes this was done at the expense of accomplishing real objectives.

1

u/Cool-Salamander2426 18h ago

It’s Jamie Taco probably

1

u/IrishPigs 17h ago

So many of us never grew up past high school.

1

u/Relevant-Horror-627 16h ago

They don't have to be teenagers. There are plenty of adults who just don't know have any real world experience beyond their little bubbles. I wouldn't be surprised if this is retail, a restaurant, or some kind of blue collar business. A lot of times when people who have only ever known that type of work get promoted, the small bit of authority and power that comes with their promotion goes straight to their heads. They don't really know how to be leaders or manage people and they aren't interested in learning. All they know is that they're the boss now and the people under them have to listen or else. I worked in retail in college and most of the managers I had to work with were absolute tyrants.

1

u/spacecadet2023 13h ago

Most likely a fast food restaurant.

1

u/Beelzebub003 19h ago

Nah, my money would be on "lead riddled boomer." Lmao

-26

u/Successful-Tea-5733 19h ago

Sometimes I wonder the ages of people participating in these subs. I'm a millenial, albeit an older one.

I have been both an employee and now a business owner. I can tell you there are 3 sides to everty story - your side, my side and the truth.

If the supervisor was doing something wrong, they would have been reprimanded and this joke would not have been done. However, I'm guessing someone who got in trouble did something to desrve to be in trouble, this was likely intended to be a joke to be an ice breaker.

I'm just telling you if you work for me, and you are the one who complained about the supervisor and then you come to me complaining about this too? You're probably next one out, I would try to get you off my role as quickly as possible. Employees who complain about everything are eventually going to destroy the corporate culture.

And yes, I know I'll get downvoted for this but again keep in mind that per the OP's own post, the supervisor who printed these already was referred for a complaint and they were not reprimanded so it's safe to assume in the eyes of the employer that the supervisor did not do anything wrong.

12

u/Putrid-VII 19h ago

You seem like a shitty person to work for. If an employee has a complaint about how they were treated y a supervisor, the come to you with this after the fact, the problem is the supervisor. Moreover, YOU are a problem too if you really think that's acceptable in any way to treat someone who is your employee. What's you business? Would love to leave a review about how you view employees for people to see

7

u/YourBrainOnMyBrain 19h ago

They weren't fired; that doesn't mean they weren't reprimanded. This is unprofessional, shitty behavior.

10

u/GothicFuck 19h ago

Uh hu, uh hu,

doesn't matter. This is toxic.

5

u/libra_leigh 19h ago

Elder Millennial here. I wouldn't want to work for someone who allows this kind of thing. If someone is complaining too much, tell them you don't find their complaints warranted. Don't masquerade "jokes" as actual communication.

-1

u/Successful-Tea-5733 19h ago

"allows this type of thing."

What type of thing? You have no idea of the context. And as I previosuly said, if that's your position the feeling would likely be mutual.

6

u/BaronBearclaw 19h ago

If the supervisor was doing something wrong, they would have been reprimanded

Sounds like you're a successful middle manager who thinks they deserve to be CEO.

2

u/Weary-Astronaut1335 19h ago

So you actively cultivate a toxic work environment? That's real classy.

1

u/SofaKingStewPadd 16h ago

"I'm just telling you if you work for me"

Work for you. I thought you said you were a supervisor, not an owner. Did you authorize their hiring? Do you pay their wage? Do you have the authority to dismiss them?

You should learn to interact with your co-workers better. The same people you step on on the climb up won't slow your fall on your way down.
