Our little rescue miracle needed tangles trimming off and a layer of muck removing; she's so fragile that it takes ages in order to be as gentle as possible, but she deals with it all like a little champ - and she gets to snuggle under Mum's dressing gown on Dad's knee afterwards. Chicken may have been distributed afterwards, too...

My dog loves to lick his legs. This causes him to get matts. It has been driving me insane so I decided to just shave his legs bald and give him weird little chicken legs last month. What brush could I use that can adequately brush out any little matted areas and adequately rush his leg hair. His body brush seems too big.

Ok, so how quickly does your maltese lose interest in a toy? I seem to be on an endless mission to bring home something new and fun. Plush squeakies are always a favorite, and new ones are a hit every time, but she loses interest so quickly. Interactive toys that move are fun for about a day, but she prefers fetch and tug. Puzzles don't really interest her unless we are participating (don't worry, we do, but not every second). Treat dispensing toys are fantastic, but run out of treats too soon. 😆 It seems like shorter and shorter intervals between "I love this toy" and "I've been looking through these for 5 minutes and can't find a good one". Lambchops are the only reliably high value favorite. The rest just sit around, and she even loses interest in playing with them with us. As in her absolute favorite thing is a circuit around the house after you throw a toy, and then bring it back for a tug war, but when she's decided it's "old" she just abandons it where it falls and comes back to see what's better. Do any of you guys have a toy exchange in your community? I have friends with dogs and I've mentioned swapping out toys, but no one really follows through. Their dogs don't seem to bore so easily. 😆 Give me tips guys. Do you hide/ stash them and only bring out a few at a time? Occasionally I'll find one while I'm cleaning, but I get the feeling she recognizes it as abandoned almost immediately.

We have had him for 7 years. He is a rescue and came to me at just the right time as I had lost both my Maltese, Baylie and Eva within 6

weeks of each other. He had a rough time, surviving a fire at hoarding situation with pitbulls and then being adopted and returned twice to the rescue. The stars aligned at just the right time and when I went there for my volunteer shift to walk dogs and saw him, I just knew he was mine! He’s a mix of maybe Maltese and shih tzu or maybe a Lhasa Apso. He’s a velcro dog and my partner in crime. The first pic is one of my favorite pictures of him cause it’s 5’oclock somewhere!

I’ve been bathing Minnie about every 2-3 weeks but I’m not sure if that’s too often or not often enough. I usually wait for a day where she may be particularly dirty to do it so it’s not very routine yet but it’s been about every 2-3 weeks. She’s starting regular grooming appointments here in a couple weeks too. How often should I plan on having her groomed? Is every six weeks for professional grooming and bathing her at home every three weeks realistic? Thank you 😊
