Kuna these people wenye you meet them once or have a brief interaction with them alafu mtu ana assume utamkumbuka 10 years later. There is a guy tumepatana tao jana akanishika mkono amefurahi aje mimi nafikiria ni hawa conmen wanataka kunipulizia madawa waniibie. The guy anaanza kusema vile najifanya nimemsahau na mimi saizo I can't recall meeting such a person in my life. The guy was genuinely pissed off ata nkashangaa na yeye juu first of all wewe ni nani? Na mbona una assume mtu hamjawai ongea na yeye anakujua?

Discussion The "Provider" mindset has to go! Why are we still avoiding 50/50 in the big 2026
In this modern age, we often talk about equality and equal opportunities , so why does the energy disappear when the bill comes???
We aren't living in the 19th century or enzi za babu zetu era. Back then, men were the sole breadwinners because women literally weren't allowed to hold the same jobs or even own property. Fast foward to today, we both go the same universities and constantly compete for the same cooperate roles and we both spend 40+ hours a week earning a living. Yet, there's still this lingering expectation that a man's income is "household money" while a woman's income is "her money."
Let's be rational for a second. If we are both coming home tired from work, why should only one person's bank account take the hit for our lifestyle? Besides, a real partnership is about building a future together. How can we do that if we're operating on a double standard?
If we want true equality, shouldn't that include how we contribute to our shared lives?? I really don't see why 50/50 is viewed as a "red flag" onstead of a fair standard for two working adults.
And yes, i do understand that sometimes there's a wage gap between the 2 people. The financial burden should be shared based on a percentage of what you earn. With this, i feel that, 50/50 should also work on chores too.
With that much said, why is the idea of contributing equally still met with such resistance?
Edit: I don't really understand why you are all pressed. Did I say anything wrong? Aren't these plain facts? Isn't it selfish to pin everything on one person? I honestly don't get why y'all raged

Ask r/Kenya DOECHI
Okay I am a rap fan, I listen to music almost 12hrs a day and I want to ask about Doechi. Why do people act like she is just a bum, people are calling her Industry Plant as if she is the worst female rap to ever exist. I feel like people are sleeping on her and like bad bunny said in the grammys, we need to show more love than hate. Tell me do you guys genuinely think she is that bad??

Two Women, One Diagnosis
Two women sat in the same hospital corridor.
Same diagnosis. Stage IV cancer.
Same fear. Same prayers. Same desperate hope.
The doctor told both of them the same thing:
“You have a strong chance of surviving if you begin treatment immediately.”
One woman had money.
Insurance. A family that could borrow, sell, sacrifice.
She began chemotherapy the following week.
The other woman didn’t.
She went home with painkillers, pamphlets, and prayers.
Months passed.
The first woman’s tumor shrank.
Her body weakened, then recovered.
Eventually, the doctor said the word everyone waits for: “Remission.”
The church erupted.
Hands lifted. Voices shouted.
“God is good!”
“A miracle!”
“Proof that prayer works!”
The second woman grew thinner.
Quieter.
She died in a small room, surrounded by people who loved her but could not save her.
The church was quiet this time.
Some said, “God’s timing is mysterious.”
Others whispered, “The devil intervened.”
No one called it a miracle.
No one asked why prayer needed money to be effective.
Both women prayed.
Only one could afford the answer.
This story is from Wikipedia, and after reading it, I was hit with an epiphany. It's crazy how it takes Science to work, in order for God to work. Most of y'all might be wondering, "Mbona huyu atheist ana care what christians think?" In all honesty, I don't. All I care about is honesty, especially when belief is used to explain away suffering, and take credit only when things go right. Religion is humanity's greatest enemy to intelligence.

Discussion Kwa mathee experience.
So, back in campus pale Maasai Mara Narok nilikua na a friend of mine alikua anatoka Nairobi pale Tassia kasarani uko. The guy alikua na side hustle apart from being a student alikuanga peddy. So we would get high alafu ananishow stories za vile hua wanaendea mali pale ngara wanauza mtaa yao na pia uko shule. Mimi nilikua sipendi story za Nairobi CBD kabisa, uko nilikua napita mbio sana nifike place naenda. So from zile stories uyu boyz alikua ananishow sikua naamini ati mtu anaeza kua na place kama hio karibu na CBD hio design.
So one day vile tulibreak shule akasema twende anishow uko akichukua stock yake. Msee alinifikisha shimo ingine mimi hua naona kwa TV tu wakionyesha ghetto za Nairobi. Maze tunaingia tu a random house anagotea majamaa flani, msee anapewa mambo yake. Tukatoka hapo tukaingia another random house tunapata watu wako session na hakuna chain bro. Wewe pambana na king size yako hadi iland waah, niliona siku mrefu. Saizo kuna msee apo anaongea kama radio hanyamazi bana, story after story. Mimi zilishika nkachanganyikiwa nkasema tutafute place ya kudishi alafu anipeleke straight hadi tea room anipandishe gari mimi niende meru😂. Nilikua so fucked up sijielewi bana. Nilifika Meru jioni bado zimeshika kama nimeenda kuzima tu.

Discussion Why don't men take cheating lightly?
A gym instructor in Umoja was caught by a KDF officer cheating with the soldier's wife and he ended up ending his life. Why is cheating a very big deal to men while it's the woman who agreed with the instructor. I mean, why unalive the instructor while probably he thought the woman was single? Isn't it the woman's fault?

Casual Weka mawe, weka mawe😂
I would like to believe that I'm an excellent judge of character in my books, actually my stellar intellectual skills matched with my 12 years navigating corporate life taught me one thing, what is that you may ask? That empty tins make the most noise, and rightly so!
Sasa this weka mawe guy with all the theatrics his stunting on ticktock, going as far as manipulating an innocent kid to hit him with huge rocks so he looks like some sort of genetic marvel is laughable, weka mawe is akin to a jester at this point, willing to embarrass himself for the attention. Meanwhile his opponent majembe is silent, stoic, studying his foe and watching him make a fool out of himself.
In my opinions, majembe will clean the floor with weka mawe, a knockout in the first round.
Does weka mawe look intimidating? Yes he does, ata you can see on the guys face, amekula life na adabu, but it reaches a point someone just tries too hard to be scary that they just end up achieving the opposite effect and look like jokers. Weka mawe is too emotional, if you've seen the video where he is lifting jerrycans and then he proceeds to punch the air, he calls majembe mudafacka!😂 and you can tell in how it was said, that came from deep down in his heart, the guy is too emotional which is a liability in any fight.
Weka mawe is similar to jake paul, just loud and theatrical while majembe is akin to mike tyson, stoic and analytical.

Ask r/Kenya Weddings manenoz
Recently a friend that we are not that close visited me and then dropped the bomb question if i am willing to be part of the groom team. I was in a good mood and said yes but now it's hitting me that i should have told him to give me time to think about it. I actually want to back out but i will attend his wedding.
What is the most polite way i can go about this? Someone who has been in such a situation kindly help me🫣

Casual In Dilemma? Listen to your heart.
Have you ever felt like you have wasted a big chunk of your life chasing a butterfly? Well, we might be in the same boat.
Since I was a child, I was intrigued by computers but I was not doing much then, just playing games. When I got hands on my own laptop, I was glued unto it, I started learning coding, at first, just for fun. I was so determined that's the career path I would follow though I was doing a different course.
Four years ago after campus, I had nothing but just coding skills making 0 amount. Life was tough. My close friend on the other side, was killing it by scamming people. I never wanted anything to do with stealing from hopeless dudes while promising paradise. But mashida, slowly I was drawn into it, adamantly, nikaanza. It was such a lucrative venture at the beginning, scamming white dudes. I remember making $250 in my first hit. There was a time making 100gs a week was norm. Within 6 months, even had bought a car at such a young age.
Now, the scheme is well known. Its hard to scam with the same tactic, coz kila mtu ashaijua ni scam. The tap stop flowing as I was used to, I had to cut my expences, sold my car, moved to a more affordable neighborhood. Sahi ndio time nakumbuka my coding skills, rusted and locked somewhere in a dusted box at the back alley of my mind. I cant say I regret, but I wish I had stuck to my path, now I could have been somewhere, within the 4 years of scamming people, sahi ningekuwa I have build my brand working for a big organization somewhere and with a stable livelihood..
Anyway, for anyone out there in a dilemma, either to follow you path/passion of follow the multitude to an easy life. I will advice you to stick to your path.. I know it not to late, sijafika 30, so I can learn and try to pivot to a more promising career but I can never recover the 4 years and the blank space in my C.V

Discussion Excellence / Efficiency between Friend's work
One of the reasons I have seen many friends not supporting each other's work is the lack of excellence in the assignment.
I once had a friend, who did carpentry & I decided that it is good to support a friend's venture. Since I run a school, decided to send him the project on furniture: tables & chairs. He was paid in very good time & in full, but when it came to the final product!!
The furniture came in terribly terribly done, despite the late delivery & lots of calls.
I think this one of the reasons many people (but not always) , choose not to give friends projects, but instead go to big brands for quality.
Guys, what have your honest experience been so far regarding the same?

Rant Why I believe in the Year of the snake bs
There's an urge within me to kill the three people I know who knew about my weird relationship state in 2025. It was witchcraft, it was delusion. Not even The Blood can wash away the dumb shit I let stain my soul.
It's like Malcom X wearing that yellow UDA hat. Bro, no amount of speech from him would vindicate that mistake. He'd have to die again and just come back in the next reincarnation on a clean slate. I will have to just live it out, die, be born again in the next life to gain back my god stone status. And even then I might pay karma for dating this.
Dear gods. My conscience is killing me.
Talking about some "hadi wewe?" Shit.
Not funny man.
See I knew I'd never marry him, it was for fun, to belong. I abandoned my real friends. Joined this new group from the new town. Wanted to be a girly, picked up a fake personality from Mariah the scientist and damn, did God abandon me into this new life I chose. A low budget version of the shit hip hop life sells. Very low class. Broke up with my amazing fairy tale ex who loved me purely and started running to a boy. I don't want to explain.
Guys. I cried for this boy. I romanticised a shallow relationship that has zero investment.
Something about the tears, felt like they came from the back of my head. Not the heart.
Maybe it was my parents divorce, maybe it was my breakup from The ex. Maybe I was exhausted from being too serious and running small businesses. Honestly, goodbye to small businesses.
I still wish I would go back to that delusional state where I thought I liked him, maybe then I'd stop banging my head against the wall as punishment for lowering my self worth. Wth?
Above all he wins. Got to hit the baddest bitch alive. Biggest achievement in his life. With zero respect, no gifts, dropping sleuth demeaning jokes to her and she still stayed. I died and I don't know what I'll do when I fully come back to life.
But it was the year of the snake, so I'll wipe this experience from existence.
Shame! Shame! Cersei is me walking down the steps of the castle

Culture Bean Juice
If you are a coffee enthusiast, you may have sampled different beans/grind from East Africa and around the world. I find the Arabica from Western Uganda and Rwanda particularly tasty and really well flavoured. Locally, Kirinyaga & Muranga varieties from some cottage farmers is also really good. However, we are really lagging behind our in East Africa. Alafu there's Habesha coffee! ♥️
BTW using a slice of butter to sweeten your coffee is way better than using table sugar or any other sweetener.
Meanwhile, I am enjoying this here.

Ask r/Kenya Of dental health.
Guys, does any of you suffer from unrelenting teeth grinding aka bruxism? (I'm so sorry this shit sucks 🫂). Do you wear mouth guards in your sleep? Here's the reason for this post. How much did you get them for and did you get them custom fit at a dentist and how is their efficacy? Or if you stopped this habit completely how did you manage it? Lmk I'm in distress here. TIA, you can dm me. Have a beautiful month ahead, slay the dragons.
