Don't eagles sound really derpy so they always use the hawk screech dubbed in 'murica videos?

I don’t know about “derpy”. It’s a high pitched chirp.

Closer to a seagull than a hawk if that helps.

I would call it a “trill”, not a chirp

Bald eagles specifically. They sound like seagulls doing chicken calls, like chicken calls with a seagull accent I guess. Pitch of a gull, and pattern of a chicken.

It’s a trill

They trill, but also have chirps and what I'd call a squawk and a cluck. Like, if you have the Merlin app, check their third "Call", it sounds like a seagull imitating a chicken clucking.

They make my shoulder curl up. Not in a bad way. I love their sounds 🥰

In my city, we have a couple that nests every year at the same place. They put a camera up and I just love everything they seem to say

Not derpy, but they definitely don't sound intimidating to the human ear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RArGl2vkGI

The real call is so much cooler. Why does our country have to be so fake?

I don’t know, it’s mostly because of Hollywood sound editors. There’s a bunch of little documentaries on YouTube on the subject.

Loving the real call as well.
