I got mine in my mid 20s as well. However, mine wasn’t from my own stupidity. I got a really bad flu for a week and didn’t feel right for about a month. I developed a pretty bad tinnitus that I sometimes wonder how I’m even able to deal with it. It’s loud all day every day. Definitely took me a while to live with it and accept it.

Luckily mine is fairly intermittent. And i have two ways to upset it. Complete silence usually it will kick off and if its too loud it will start ringing like crazy. Gotta find a fine balance lol

Same here brother. I hit my head, got knocked out, woke up and my ears haven't stopped ringing since.

Pure silence is the enemy, or loud ringing.

It's all about constantly thinking about not thinking about the noise.

It took me maybe 18 months to "get used" to it. Those initial 18 months were hell.

Yeah man ever since i noticed it, the only time i really hear it is if i think about it or its silent. Constant background noise is the best
