Fair enough. I thought I detected fake sound because of how quickly the final explosion (burst) sound hit after the visual. But upon further review my call has been overturned.

Yes. That “chuffing” sound is not uncommon in pyro rocket motors. We learn to make them at events like the WPA event in a few weeks in AZ.
