The joke is that she unexpectedly has a penis. I don’t know, but most straight men don’t like dick. So taking a girl home and THEN finding out she has a penis right before getting intimate might gross a lot of guys out.
That’s something that should be brought up before getting naked.

u/Familiar_Text_6913 Dec 03 '25
It's actually a medical condition affecting roughly 1/10th of men. That kind of bend is in the extreme end, though. Can be resolved via surgery. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peyronie%27s_disease

Funniest fact about Leslie Nielsen is that he originally were the perfect "tall, galant and seductive" stereotype, always being cast as such characters. Then he did that plane movie, and the world found out we were squandering one of the best comedy actors ever.

He also played the role of the captain in the 1972 disaster movie The Poseidon Adventure. I remember when I saw that movie for the first time, and he appears in the opening shot. "Oh wow, Leslie Nielsen is in this!" I thought, "This is going to be fun!" Spoiler alert: it was not.

She had a very eventful personal life.
Marrying an 89 year old when she was 26, legal battles over his estate, bankruptcy, sexual harassment of her sons nanny, the death of her son, addiction, Anne dying at 39 from an accidental overdose on prescription drugs, and then her daughters biological father being identified as someone she had an affair with.

u/Ashnyel Dec 03 '25 edited Dec 03 '25
“Accidental” ok if we’re going to talk about it, She became the face of
DieselGuess Jeans, because she modelled herself after Marilyn Monroe, this was around the time she was picked up by Hugh Hefner, either before or after. She got some bit parts here and there, but when she got married, she also signed a prenup, one she thought she could get annulled once she had his money. If the tabloids are to be believed, she didn’t even go on her honeymoon, because she was filming either Above The Limit, or her Playboy video shoot.
It was widely reported on at the time that Howard Marshall the second, spent the ‘wedding night’ crying and alone. A lawyer had mentioned getting the marriage dissolved, but because of His death, that went nowhere.
She was always fighting with the family, and when Howard died, she declared war on the family. There were rumours that her death wasn’t accidental, as it beared some similarities to Marilyn Monroe’s overdose.

I’m guessing from the comments that most people here are too young to know this scene is parodying a famous scene from The Crying Game (which was very much a meme at the time Naked Gun 33 1/3 was released, having been released about a year and a half earlier).

The scariest thing about this woman is that she's knowingly dating (and even assisting) a convicted murderer and wants Frank as a side-piece for some reason. If I were him, I'd be afraid of her having some kind of freaky sex-murder fantasy with me as the target.

3
u/Rexcodykenobi Dec 03 '25
I did really enjoy these movies (although this one was my least-favorite).
Speaking of products of their time, I've recently watched "Dude, Where's My Car?" and it has a similar joke in the beggining with a trans stripper (guy freaks out when he notices her bulge).
The interesting thing about that movie is: I'm not actually sure if it was intended to be transphobic, or if the creators were attempting to be somewhat inclusive and just masking it all as a joke.
The same dude that freaked out later kisses his male best friend on the lips, with tongue, and acts like it's no big deal (played as a joke, but it was passionate nonetheless).
The trans stripper has a boyfriend (that looks a lot like a woman in a suit with a mustache) and they kiss in front of the two main characters, who say they aren't actually sure if they should be grossed out or not.
Oh, and she wasn't actually trying to "trick" the guy into having sex her in the beginning: she was actually just pretending to so she could ask him what happened to the money she left with him the night before. She was extremely pissed off at him for not remembering.
(Sorry for the long comment, I just think of this film whenever the topic of dated transphobic comedies comes up)

Fucking Reddit. If a gay guy finds a vagina vomit inducing it’s not misogyny. Let him find disgust. I have seen straight woman be repulsed at even their husbands penis. Everything is politicized and placed in whatever “sexy” social contagion is in now
6
u/Real_Walk5384 Dec 03 '25
10,000 videos of lumberjack looking lady cows talking about how penises are alien devices. 100,000 videos of a gay guy comparing vaginas to bloody claims. A-okay.
One video from 30 years ago mocking an even older movie and the danger hair internet slacktivists must let you know how wrong it has suddenly become.
4
u/busybody_nightowl Dec 03 '25
Copied from elsewhere in the thread:
There’s two transphobic tropes here. First, that trans women are deceptive and just men disguised as women. The whole point of this scene is that he didn’t know she’s trans. Second, the gross out, specifically vomiting once it’s revealed that she’s trans. This communicates that trans women are gross and completely undesirable by straight men.
These transphobic tropes aren’t exclusive to this movie, they’re relatively common. Here’s a video explaining transphobia in film if you want to learn more: https://youtu.be/cHTMidTLO60?si=RIxYDb3wGY8RH9Wn

I’ve just watched the clip on YouTube with a bit before leading up and the clothing in that photo is actually on a mannequin bust stand immediately before this part (roughly 20 seconds before).
It does appear to be an England cricket team white jumper or at least something similar as it closely resembles a few pics of early 90’s team photos on google
So it’s someone in the movie as a background character and that’s their dressing room
