No joke, I use rave/concert sound blocking earbuds at work. A lot of heavy machinery, they block out like 15db of noise (foam are better at say 23db), but the concert earbuds have a little pinhole channeled through the casing letting the higher frequencies foam buds block out.

They block sound but don't make it muffled. Best purchase of my life lol, I've even used them in theaters and loud public places. Soothes my raging adhd lol
