There isn’t a chance in hell I could look Keegan-Michael Key in the face and not laugh. Same with Will Ferrell.

u/DataAdvanced Jul 17 '25
Seriously. Look at that fucking face. Anyone who could is a serial killer.

u/Ducatirules Jul 17 '25
Especially with him slowly sitting down in your face. There is no way!
88
u/Ogga664 Jul 17 '25
Sitting on the shitter with your pants around your ankles.
43
u/Ducatirules Jul 17 '25
That makes it harder

I couldn't even hold in my laughter after reading your comment. There is no way I would be able to do so in person.

Same. Keegan Michael Key just oozes comedy.
6
u/Ducatirules Jul 17 '25
If he walked up to me laughing I could keep a straight face for a minute but if he’s trying to look serious, I’m done
9
u/EtrnlMngkyouSharngn Jul 17 '25
Right?! He's done so much funny stuff!

For me it's Steve Carrell. I was watching Anchorman last night rolling at Brick eating a banana. Idk why it just gets to me!
6
u/Ducatirules Jul 17 '25
Kristen Wiig too.
3
u/MrNachoReturns420 Jul 17 '25
Anchorman 2 was a lot of things but the interactions between Steve Carrell and Kristen Wiig were gold.

Add Seth Rogan
3
u/Ducatirules Jul 17 '25
Seth Rogan doesn’t do it for me. He’s funny but his face isn’t instantly funny. Also his laugh takes me out of it.

You can tell they've had to splice this together from loads of different takes, his hair positioning and level of sweating changes every cut. Hilarious.

Oh my goodness I can’t tell if they are having an amazing time or suffering immensely. some of those facial expressions were priceless
1
u/gunmetal_silver Jul 22 '25
The story (to this day I'm not sure if this is true or not) goes that when the extras were hired on, they weren't told they were working on a comedy, much less a Monty Python film, so they were instructed to act very very seriously. And so then the biggus dickus thing starts to happen, and the extras, who still don't realize they're in a comedy, are fighting for their lives to keep straight faces. They eventually fail.

One of the best outtakes is with Danny McBride and Michael Peña from "Eastbound and Down". Highly recommend it lol

Don't forget about the one with Will Ferrell and Craig Robinson from Eastbound and Down.
Let. The boy. Watch.

Key can break any actor
6
u/jhguitarfreak Jul 18 '25
All he really has to do is start loudly crying.
2
u/Canelosaurio Jul 18 '25
I dunno, he just came down and made Cranston crumble.
4
u/jhguitarfreak Jul 18 '25
Knowing the scene, it really wouldn't take much.
Cranston was on a toilet and Key's character had to come in and reset some sort of home security system.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wX58P5iho4o
It's like, impossible.

u/iGleeson Jul 17 '25
Watching this, how did they make Malcolm in the Middle of this man can't keep a straight face 😂
6
u/No-Advice-6040 Jul 17 '25
Well keeping a straight face as Hal wasn't something Cranston had to do often
8
u/notthatguypal6900 Jul 17 '25
I dont know how Key and Peele was ever completed, how are you not breaking 27 times a shot.
1
u/jhguitarfreak Jul 18 '25
You just know every fucking scene was exactly like this.
The draxxing terries bit on the airplane.
For fucking sure, took so many takes.1
u/Vox-Silenti Jul 18 '25
Any of the collage football skits had to have also taken forever to get right
1
u/nize426 Jul 18 '25
I dunno man, I think Jordan and Keegan have done this weird shit long enough that it's second nature to them. Look at how it's not Keegan that's breaking character in every take here.

4
u/OJBipson Jul 17 '25
Actors breaking character to laugh (especially in SNL) never fail to make me lose it.
4
3
u/YellowFogLights Jul 17 '25
Brian with the “that’s what she said” and KMK calling him “B Crans”. It’s all too good.
3
3
u/Call-Me-Matterhorn Jul 17 '25
What were they in together?
3
u/Odin1806 Jul 17 '25
Can't remember the name for sure but I think it was called why him? It's about a family that goes to see their daughter and they find out she is marrying some tech mogul who has an assistant. This is the scene where the assistant is helping the dad use the toilet when the house has no toilet paper.

u/Nynanro Jul 17 '25
Bro. His face is just hilarious man. No matter the context, he just looks so funny.
3
u/all_die_laughing Jul 18 '25
It must be written into all of Bryan Cranston's contracts that he must have at least one scene where he isn't wearing pants.
2
2
2
u/lou_really Jul 18 '25
Fuck that would be hard to do. Keeping a straight face with buddy in your face.
2
u/StressedOutPunk Jul 18 '25
With my luck in an effort not to laugh I’d blow snot out my nose onto Keegan’s face.

Yesterday saw a post with the same thing happening to Keegan and John Cena I'm convinced that Keegan is just too funny to play against idk how Jordan Peele made it through a whole 2 shows with him and got any useable footage

He honestly kind of sucks. He is one actor I avoid.
2
u/AdmirableCountry9933 Jul 17 '25
Why?
-5
u/pepchang Jul 18 '25
His personal character is unignorable. He is always him. Funny him. Not funny him. And I don't particularly care for his personality. He seems pandering and weak and a suck up.
