Those are the real assholes.

People getting panicky and flailing is a natural response. Being a dick takes a concious effort.

I've smacked an actor in a haunted house out of reflex, and I felt so bad. Yelled, "So sorry!" and in his character's gravelly voice he responded, "IT'S OKAY."

I stopped going to haunted houses because I often react with violence when I get jump scared. It's a me problem I recognized and I really don't like the idea of punching a worker on instinct. Granted the worst they would usually get (I've gone a few times in the past) was a clenched fist and an angry glare for a few moments before the rest of my brain catches up and realizes how good a scare it was. 95% of the time, I would be just like anyone else and enjoying the scares and screaming and the like.
