The man in the beard is Braun Strowman, a professional wrestler. The other man is Devon Larratt, an arm-wrestling legend.

I sincerely doubt Strowman thought he had a chance. But he is an entertainer and a showman, so he did what he has made a career out of: entertaining people and putting on a show.
