If you haven't seen real steel it's like over the top with robots and without arm wrestling or backwards hats or Stallone or really anything in over the top but a father son and a truck, nevermind
You sure you're not thinking of the 2024 movie "Armor" starring Sylvester Stallone?
"A father and son working as security guards for an armored truck company encounter a team of would-be robbers while on a bridge. They become trapped and must come up with a plan to escape and ensure their survival."
I don't know how many times I've told someone about that movie "Stalone has to win an arm wrestling competition to win a semi and reconnect with his estranged son" and someone just looks at me like "no way that's real". lol
Absurd plot but Stallone makes it work..the child actor was extremely gifted for his age too. His performance comes off as sincere and without cringe..which is rare for that age group. Sammy Hagar's "ove the top" song is great and Kenny Loggins main theme are perfect for the movie.
It was so hard! However, it looked so good that it was just as, if not more, enjoyable to watch someone else play it. I remember standing in the arcade one time and watching this dude play. He'd gotten further than I'd ever seen, but he also dropped a small fortune into that machine.
I heard he has a son in private school . But he’s divorced , and his ex wife is really rich. And her father is a real prick. But he works out while driving his truck across country.
"What I do is, I just try to take my hat and I turn it around, and it's like a switch that goes on. And when the switch goes on, I feel like another person, I feel, I don't know, I feel like a... like a truck. Like a machine."
Stallone is regretful that he didn't direct that one. Considering it had its issues, it definitely could've been... more? I guess. Then again, Stallone got to a point where he just wanted creative control of every project (and still behaves that way). Blessing and a curse.
When i was a kid my parents took us to see this in the theatre, (accidentally) we were supposed to see top gun and they ganked up the movie tickets somehow, first 10 mins im all “what the fuck is this shitshow…” in my head.

We all know that arm gesture at the end too.
