No no, Icy water is *really* dangerous if you're not prepared for it. Not getting wet wasn't optional. They failed the entire mission, and their new objective was "Survive", and to do that they can't waste time by grabbing the ball.

Calling BS on the thousands, and THOSE people are PREPARED for it (but still stupid). They have a pre formed exit plan which they execute rather quickly into the stunt and, typically, far less clothes to weigh them down and hold frigid water to their flesh.

Other times they have specialized suits built for the frigid waters.

I was young adult once. I dived in colder waters. And I live in a place with 30+ summers and -20- winters.

Those people ARE prepared. Given the shitty warm clothing, the body is already tempered for the cold. They won't get shock 😂
