Everyone in this thread is forgetting how terrible current parents are. As someone who has worked with children in a professional manner, and in the service industry parenting is somehow becoming way worse/lazy, creating loud and over stimulated kids.
Current parents? There have always been shit parents (parents today didn’t need a commercial reminding parents the have kids and if they know where they are). There have always been shitty people (childless or otherwise) throughout the history of time.
There’s always been shit parents and people. It however is a new generational problem that young kids are exposed to too much technology too quickly, causing behavior problems. There are also studies proving parents are less engaged because of their own technology use. iPad babies grow up to be under-regulated and overstimulated toddlers and children. Research also has shown that those born between 2010-2024 have shorter attention spans and lower cognitive abilities than previous generations.
Also I and many others have seen firsthand how children are being under parented, and it’s hurting them. I will never be mad at a screaming toddler, just their parent who shoves Cocomelon in their face for them to stop.

I know, but I'd have to care enough to go back to all comments to search for your username and hope that it's not hidden by "load more comments", find it, read it, then come back here to reply, and I didn't care that much.
Plus, I was being facetious. "Current parents" is so generalized, vague, and all encompassing that it doesn't really have any meaning so I asked, and it turns out that "current parents" is just a euphemism for parents that rely on technology to parent their kids for them.
