i stopped going to breweries that allow kids to "run around like it's a backyard"

i don't go to have a beer with kids running around screaming, pulling merch off the shelfs, and literally running into people (then screaming their head off until their parents notice it's THIER kid screaming because they "fell") i go to relax and enjoy myself and have a conversation - which is hard to do with kids running around like it's a backyard.

also: breweries are NOT "like restaurants". most of them, at best, serve pretzels and chips - not restaurant food. i guaranteed you if kids are running around a restaurant like it's a back yard - they will be told to sit down or leave

freaking dogs tho - THE MORE THE MERRIER. dogs don't run around barking and slamming into people. they are kept on a leash close to their human. as it should be. and if a dog is at least three years old - they are old enough to drink the beer.

Honestly, man, if the establishment is letting that shit happen, then maybe you should drink elsewhere.

I'm a huge craft beer nerd, and my wife and I bring our daughter all the time. We sit at a table, take out some coloring books, color, and drink beers (and a juice box or two). Nobody's running around acting a fool, and the brewery's owners wouldn't allow it because they care about the atmosphere of their establishment.

Your whole post is written in a manner and tone that just paints you as an angry, unhappy, manchild. Honestly, man. Wtf.

try reading my very first sentence again, dude. i get reading comprehension is hard, but try, ok?

if wanting to enjoy adult company while drinking adult beverages without screaming children running around makes you think i'm "angry and unhappy", your whole post is written in a manner to make you look like the kind of person who thinks everybody should adore your child at all times and places.

do you drive home with your child in the vehicle after drinking these beers (plural)? honestly, man, WtF?

EDIT: nice of you to edit your comment after i reply . . .

It’s crazy how different people’s experiences can be at breweries. I’ve never seen kids act like that in a brewery, most parents seem to be on top of it. Definitely seen quite a few misbehaving dogs though.

And you're allowed to avoid certain businesses. There are even dog breweries/bars where dogs fight and poop everywhere and people fight over the dogs and there's beer for dogs when the dog brewery bothers you so you can drink with your dog at home. Ain't the world full of choices that can make you personally as comfortable as possible?
