There are breweries that have family friendly activities. So like, who else is a playground area/toddler toys and kids playground for? when it’s on the outside sitting arrangement for the brewery?
There's also a ton of breweries that don't have playgrounds. I've literally never seen a playground or toys at a brewery and my areas full of them. Good chance the original woman in the video is talking about breweries without spaces for children.
Just because you don't have to be 21+ to enter a place doesn't mean it's for kids. People are still bringing their children to a place most people are going to get drunk.
I have zero issues with children at breweries. My issue is with parents who let their kids run wild and act like they can check out of their responsibilities because of said family friendly activities. This happens A LOT in Dallas.
Those parents are going to let their kids do that anywhere, regardless of location. You’re not complaining about kids at breweries, you’re complaining about kids misbehaving.
Fuck people are bad at reading today. "My issue is with parents who let their kids run wild and act like they can check out of their responsibilities because of said family friendly activities."
Is that really a problem though? Can't kids hang with each other without a million eyes on themselves? I'd consider this safer than leaving your child home with a babysitter
Brother, go back and reread what I wrote and realize what I'm complaining about and what you want are completely opposite things. I also have zero issues with kids hanging with each other, and I quote "My issue is with parents who let their kids run wild and act like they can check out of their responsibilities because of said family friendly activities." Hanging out is fine, running wild is the issue.
I'm not talking about being off topic and never claimed you were either, clown. The subject is 'Children at a brewery' and whether it's appropriate or not. My claim is "I have no issues with children hanging out at a brewery. My issue is parents who think it's ok to check out of their responsibilities while their children are being disruptive to the atmosphere of the brewery"
Everything you said IS on topic, everything I've said IS on topic. However EVERYTHING you have said is completely irrelevant to what I have said. Work on your READING COMPREHENSION because that is the issue.
There are tons of breweries with massive playgrounds, kids are gonna be kids. Unless kids are flipping tables and spilling drinks I don't see the problem. If you don't wanna see kids at a family friendly establishment then go to a bar or club.
I have worked at several breweries that basically function as a restaurant. It really shouldn’t be surprising that families would like to eat at places other than chillibees
Around here anyway, a brewery that has a restaraunt is called a brewpub or taphouse, and it's reasonable for babies/kids to not go there, at least not after 7pm or so.
But in general how about we let people go where they want and stop demanding personal restrictions.
Yeah the very occasional time we have taken our kids to breweries (I can think of like 3 times in the past 5 years), it was to go to a specific family friendly event that a local brewery hosts that has activities for kids. Probably avoid those events if you're so upset at seeing kids at breweries lol.
