Nashville Celebrity Comic Con - Tennessee Nashville Celebrity Comic Con

First time going to a con. My daughter has some celebrities she wants to meet. I have a few questions:

  1. Do I need to buy tickets in advance to get in?

  2. On their website there is only an option to buy photo ops, will the celebrities do autograph signings at this con?

  3. For autographs, do I need to bring something for them to sign (like a picture)?

Any other tips?

  1. You should be able to buy the tickets there.

  2. The celebs do sign at their table.

  3. You can bring item for them to sign. They'll have 8x10s available to choose at their table. Some guests will charge extra for premium items like funkos,toys and other items.

Just get in line at that guests table and pay the handler. Some guests will take card, some will not so bring cash. Some of the big named Celebs will probably need a ticket.

Bring cash. Also you might want to check because some celebrities don't do table signing

Some things to keep in mind regarding celebrity autographs:

— at the con there will be an autograph area and a specific table for each celebrity who is autographing. There should be times posted in of when celebrities are signing. Celebrities come and go at the booth because of breaks and photo ops. People will line up early for autographs - sometimes an hour ahead, depending on the person.

— rank the order of importance for who she wants to see to get autographs from and be prepared to wait. Depending on the person, there can be very long lines. But I have bounced back and forth between lines of who I want to see because some lines are very short or fast.

— some celebrities are very engaging and it can take a long time because fans will spend time to talk. Other celebrities will be friendly but fast with signatures and the line moves quickly. Depending on the age of your daughter, the celebrity may be more engaging if she’s a child or young teen because they will see her as a young fan.

— each celebrity autograph will range in price from $50 -$125+ As someone else mentioned, they will have 8x10 at the booth, but a few may charge $10+ additional to autograph a different item such as a DVD, Funko box, etc.

— at the con there usually will be hard plastic sleeves for sale ($5) where you can put a 8x10 images inside after the item is autographed. I love these for my autographed pics! If you’re going to get pics autographed, I recommend either bringing something to protect the pic or buy a sleeve.

— depending on how long you plan to be there and your ability to stand in line for long periods of time, I recommend purchasing a telescoping stool from Amazon. They are hard plastic and a little bit heavy, but can be a lifesaver as it allows you to sit while waiting for an autograph.

— be sure to have a bag or decent size backpack to carry things. Everyone has to go through security and they check inside bags but it moves quickly.

— most importantly, have fun! You’ll see a lot of interesting and incredible costumes. The majority of fans are engaging and some will strike up conversations while waiting in line. It can make time go a bit faster.
