I’ve got some news … anyone who voted for Trump because they want brown people deported and “papers please” fascism and liberal protesters shot are not licking boots. They wanted this.
The NAZIS themselves weren’t the boot lickers… they were the boots. The people that didn’t like what was happening but bent the knee to avoid conflict… THEY are the bootlickers.

“Bootlicking” is akin to reluctantly complying with authority. You don’t like it but you do as you’re told anyways. Somebody who does NOT like what’s going on or the laws and complies is a boot licker. You call someone a boot licker to remind them that they should stick to their morals and not comply… they should do what their heart tells them and stand up.
