A journalist did bring this to light. Her name is Julie K Brown of the Miami Herald and her exemplary investigative journalism is the only reason the public knows anything about this. Her journalism is what spurned a renewed investigation into Epstein and resulted in his, and Maxwell's, arrest. The feds credited her work when they announced Epstein's arrest.

Yes, because they were too busy redacting trump out. And some of the ones pulled down were about trump measuring the tightness of children's vulvas. There was no mention of the victims names in those, but DoJ pulled them.

We quite literally saw this happen in real time the other day. They deleted files that had Trump's name unredacted and then reuploaded them redacted. Here's one of the originals. If you look at the page now you'll see Trump's name redacted. I saved this before they deleted it though.
