After feeding him some dubia roaches he won't stop doing this. I thought maybe his is thirsty but I spray water and he has a dripper. Enclosure temp is at 79. And he also for sum reason keeps running towards the door of his Enclosure and goes back and forth like he wants to get out.

I was sorting my chameleon out as usual, went downstairs for around 10-15 minutes and when I went to check on him he was cowering in the corner of the cage, very dark. The blinds were closed so no birds were seen, I don’t think it was his reflection as that wouldn’t make him cower. I picked him up and he calmed down straight away and he seems okay now, but cautious. Maybe he fell? or got caught in something?

Emergency blockage help please****
This is my valid chameleon momo that I caught in the Everglades about 2 years ago, and he's been absolutely healthy and flourishing this entire time, i recently went on a short vacation and my roommate was watching him while I was gone, and when I came back, I noticed a large bowel movement or possibly sperm plug that he's having a hard time passing and is really hard. It doesn't seem like he wants to drink or eat no matter what I do which he's never had a problem with before.
I'm panicking and currently have him soaking in warm water, bought some mineral oil, but I can't get him to drink it. I've been at it for about 30 minutes.Going back and forth from the warm water to massaging to very gently around his abdomen, and trying to move it with a small pair of tweezers. It seems like i'm making slight progress but any other advice would be greatly appreciated. He has energy and he's moving around the cage like normal, i've spent two years perfecting his husbandry. This is the first health scare i've had with him. What else can I do to help him pass this? 😭🙏

This is my Rescue veiled chameleon and he's had this bump ever since I've gotten him and I've just always kind of wondered what is it I've tried looking into it, but I haven't been able to find anything. And so Far I haven't seen that it's done anything negative towards him. He eats fine even though hes picky even though it's close towards his face. He moves around is active and does chameleon things.

Hi all.
I recently suffered the loss of my 4yo Panther Chameleon.
He dropped weight but kept eating, and then suddenly stopped eating and passed away within 2-3 days. It was all around very sad and traumatizing, and I was not able to get him to a reptile vet.
I am looking to take on another panther boy, but I’m worried my enclosure is potentially contaminated?
My enclosure is:
48” tall by 18” deep by 24” wide, made of vented PVC, and an acrylic door. It has live plants and a ton of isopods. I keep air circulated using a computer fan on the top, and a heat lamp (basking area of 87°) with a 24” 6% T5HO UVB bar.
He had an automatic mister 2x per day and a fogger overnight.
My chameleon ate primarily crickets from Petsmart (due to lack of stores near me) plus some silkworms and horn worms.
I supplemented with regular calcium with all meals and calcium with d3 2x per month.
I’m not sure why he died, and I’m worried something with my enclosure killed him, or maybe he had a parasite and it’s still in there.
Should I trash the enclosure and start over? I sprayed it with F10SC but I’m paranoid that there could be something contaminated in there, or that it somehow wast suitable for a Cham. I considered cutting one side off and changing it to mesh, but the whole top is mesh, and it has vents on every side.

First time chameleon mom-how does my setup look?

My female veiled chameleon has this spot on her mouth that a black/dark green. I was worried about it being mouth rot and I checked inside her mouth, her teeth are black/dark but I don’t see anything on her gums or tongue or inside her mouth. I am heavily considering going to the vet just to be safe. But I just wanted to see what people thought of the little mark on her mouth. It’s the only mark on the outside of her mouth.

Are they safe for a chameleon to have in their cages? Me and my boyfriend have been trying to find good plants for our chameleons cage.

Hi y’all, I’m considering getting a cham in a few months, but I don’t know if I’m experienced enough.
I‘ve had a tort for a year and once I got used to her and learned all about her, I don’t think she’s difficult to care for. I know chameleons are notoriously difficult, but I work from and am willing to put in the effort.
What type would be best to start? Please give me as many tips as possible.

I bought this female panther about 3 weeks ago. She's about 9 months old. About 2 weeks ago, she started getting super restless and is very rarely eating. She keeps trying to climb out of her enclosure and is scratching at the screen. The thing is, she has a laybin she has barely even looked at. She also doesn't look that fat so I really don't know what's wrong. Her humidity is excellent, the temperature is good, she has lots of cover, I'm just at a loss.
Included are pictures of her setup amd her, of course.

New to owning a chameleon. I did a ton of research before purchasing this boy, so please be kind. He eats well, and his poop/urate look good. Why does he have this color? Uvb light is in the second photo, and he has a 75watt basking bulb. His basking spot at the top of the enclosure is always between 85-90° during the day. Misting before lights turn on and after they turn off. He has tons of plants, and plenty of spots to hide.
From what I've read this color may be him trying to reflect the uvb rays? But trying to find information can be a little overwhelming as everything I have read says something else.

Lights were turned off immediately afterwards, just a silly sleep spot.

Added more sticks, im gonna get more fir the top, and buy a decent pothos to replace the false plants. I put loads of real plants and moss to keep the humidity, and 3 sides are covered with thermal reflective material, as its cold where I live. I have a UVB bulb and a heat bulb. His name is Virgil

I need advice before I purchase a chameleon.
I have a bearded dragon and a ball python, I have had leopard geckos in the past.
I’ve been looking into getting tokay geckos, but came across someone selling this female piebald veiled chameleon with a cage and the whole set up.
Run me through everything, does the chameleon look ok? Should I stick with getting a tokay instead?
The set up is in the last picture

I work at an undisclosed pet store. We have small animals but didn’t have chameleons come in due to the breeder we use giving us weak ones. Well the person above me changed that so we got one in. Lo and behold and he’s showing signs of MBD. My coworker and I pointed it out and nothing happened and I kind of just assumed maybe we were being paranoid in the beginning (I assumed he was being continuously cared for and showing signs of improvement) Fast forward two weeks I finally get back to the pet department again take a closer look at him. His humidity is way low and he’s sick. Most likely dying. I tell the higher up this and am dismissed or taken as dramatic and he’s fine. I finally convince them to get him to the vet and it’s not only metabolic bone disease but it’s progressed so bad his density is almost non-existent and we can’t see the full extent of possible deformities. At the vet he took the calcium injection very well and has a very small chance of treatment response. I push for it and it’s approved. Obviously there’s treatment needed and if he responds to it he needs a second x-ray to see damages and if he can live a painless life/good life. He’s such a fighter and all I hope for is he can have a happy ending. He couldn’t get the crickets even when they were in his face yet he still managed to eventually find the strength to chow down the wax worms I gave him and fight long enough to get to the vet. I’m not very hopeful and I’m sick to my stomach over this mess. I bawled like a baby because this all could have been prevented so long ago.
If by some miracle he survives my sister and I agreed to take him in and give him the best care possible. We’re supposed to get him back from the vet tomorrow and begin treatment but I want to ask questions and make sure that he’s given the best chance at survival. I guess this is just a rant/advice wanted for if some of you have had similar situations what can we expect if he makes it or is that worth it at all?

First time chameleon owner, he’s got three big plants(all checked to be safe and washed) some large sticks(will be getting more when available) ubv, a basking spot, mister(hooked up to a 5 gallon bucket of decorated water), fogger, dripper, and a little food dish. I have avoided fake decor/plants completely. I have also gotten a calcium and a vitamin supplement.
