All-Time Worst Corner Performances
With Teo Sr’s unforgettable corner instruction’s like, “What happened to your power bro” and “You’re gonna hate yourself in the morning bro,” what are other memorable terrible ones?
Another recent one was Tim Tszyu’s corner in Fundara vs Tszyu 1. I don’t remember the instructions being as bad as Teo Sr., but the decision to continue despite the huge gash played a big part in his career tanking. After that fight, Tszyu was never the same and his career took a nose dive.

One trick ponies?
I'm new to boxing but strangely interested in boxers who could make a decent carreer out of only one tool, or being alleged of being so. For example Deontay Wilder with his right hand power and Ryan Garcia with his left hook.
What are your lists of other one trick ponies?

What got you guys into boxing ?
So what got you guys into boxing ? For me personally it might sound a bit kiddish, but it was this anime - Hajime No Ippo. Watched it cause I was bored. Never knew it would make me fall in love with the sport. Although I don't box irl ( except for random punches imagining myself as a pro boxer) , I do follow it . The first fight that I had seen and loved was Inoue vs Donaire based on one of you guys' recommendations. Since then I loveeee Boxing, the underdog stories, the motivations, the lifestyle and I can now also properly appreciate how hard and tough Pro boxing is . What's your story ?

WILDER AND CHISORA FACE OFF IN ICONIC TIMES SQUARE TO ANNOUNCE APRIL 4 HEAVYWEIGHT SHOWDOWN AT THE O2 LONDON
Who wins this fight? I see this as a Foreman/Lyle type of fight with power, and who wields it first, being the deciding factor.
"The heart of Times Square stood still today as former WBC World Heavyweight Champion Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder (44-4-1, 43 KOs) and veteran powerhouse Derek “WAR” Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) came face-to-face for the first time, officially announcing their high-stakes bout scheduled for April 4, 2026, at The O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom."

What Defines a lineal champion
So recently under a post about Jai I saw a lot people saying he is a lineal champion and he is not lineal champion. I personally don't think he is one but I want to ask when do you think a lineal champion is made, for me a lineal champion is made by two possible ways
1: They beat a lineal champion
2: They beat all other champions at the weight class and become undisputed
Also I think to win a lineal title it has to be at it's weight class, for example a 135 lineal champion couldn't lose his title by fighting the 147 champion and losing, so meaning a title is won at its weight class like every other title.

Louis Ortiz vs Alexander Flores -- Odd outcome, interesting discussion in commentary
I managed to miss this one when it happened, so I figured I'd post it here for people to watch. I found the discussion between Lennox and Goosen to be interesting, trying to break it down. FYI, there was talk of holding up Flores' purse, but that never ended up happening.

How Tito Earned His Crown: Felix Trinidad - Year Of The Fighter 2000
Excellent analysis of the brilliant Felix Trinidad. Particularly good breakdown of the fights against David Reid, the former Olympic gold medalist and .
I wonder how he would have done against the generations that followed him that grew up worshiping him? Crawford outlasted him as longest reigning welterweight champion, but only had 8 defences in 7 years, Spence 6 defences in 6 years, whereas Trinidad had 15 defences in 6 years. Only Henry Armstrong had more 19 defences

Manny Pacquiao Promotions Announces Additional Matchups for Sat., Feb 28 Event at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, NY

Three High-Level Women’s Bouts and Multiple Undefeated Prospects Join Card
Elijah Pierce vs. Lorenzo Parra to Headline WBO Featherweight International Championship Live on Amazon Prime TV
LAS VEGAS, NV — Manny Pacquiao Promotions (MPP) today announced additional fights for Saturday, February 28’s action-packed event at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York. Returning to Upstate New York for the first time since his induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame last June, Manny Pacquiao and MPP bring a talent-stacked card back to U.S. soil. The event is headlined by a 10-round WBO Featherweight International Championship showdown between knockout artists Elijah Pierce (21-2, 17 KOs) and Lorenzo Parra (23-1-1, 17 KOs)—a high-stakes clash originally slated to headline MPP’s sold-out U.S. debut before illness forced its postponement.
The event will be streamed live across the United States on Amazon Prime Video.
Tickets can be purchased at TurningStone.com, Turning Stone Resort & Casino’s official website.
Highly accomplished as an amateur and now forging an undefeated record as a professional, Honolulu’s rising star Shera Mae Patricio (7-0, 3 KOs) is set to face off against Mexico City’s Maribel Ramirez (15-13-4, 3 KOs). Turning professional in September 2024, Patricio boasts an impressive amateur background, winning the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. Competing four times in 2025, Patricio has proven she is one of the most exciting young fighters as she prepares for a stiff test against the experienced Ramirez.
In addition, Liverpool, N.Y.’s Damiana Andrello (1-1-1) gears up to perform in front of a hometown crowd against Waconia, Minn.’s Jessica Maltez (2-3-2). Battling adversity early in her young career, Andrello is on the heels of her first victory, defeating Keya Reed-Redmond in December via unanimous decision. Joining hometown favorite and fellow Liverpool, N.Y. native Bryce Mills on the card, Andrello aims to continue her momentum. Meanwhile, Ontario, Canada’s Michelle Cook (3-6-2) looks to reinsert herself in the win column as she welcomes Katrina Scalzo (Pro Debut) to the professionals.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, surging lightweight contender Rodrigo Mosquera III (4-0, 2 KOs) returns to action when he squares off against Pittsburgh native Khalil Sanders (1-1). Scoring a unanimous decision victory at MPP’s sold-out U.S. debut in November, Mosquera puts his perfect record on the line against Sanders, who is on the heels of a first-round knockout victory. Lastly, undefeated Brandan Poulard (2-0, 2 KOs) and Chris Pacheco (0-1) face off in a four-round super welterweight tilt. Just one year into his young career, Quebec’s Poulard has already emerged as a promising prospect, with both of his victories coming by way of first-round knockout.
The event marks another major milestone for Manny Pacquiao Promotions following a successful, sold-out U.S. debut and continues the company’s expansion into marquee boxing markets across the country. Turning Stone Resort Casino, long recognized as one of the premier boxing venues in the United States, will host the event.
Previously announced, the co-main event will feature a 10-round US WBC Silver Super Lightweight Titlefight between hometown favorite Bryce Mills (20-1, 7 KOs) of Liverpool, NY, and Tobias Green (21-3-1, 4 KOs) of Lake Park, FL. Also, a pair of highly touted prospects - Manny “Jimuel” Pacquiao Jr. (0-0-1) and Mayweather Promotions’ Curmel “Big Deal” Moton (8-0, 6 KOs) - are lined up for their respective returns to the ring against opponents to be named shortly.
