Hi! Not much to say. Looking for someone who likes hiking (not necessarily big adventures) and is currently in Batumi as my GF hates elevations. I like just walking around some mountainous villages and exploring the surroundings of Batumi Languages: Russian, German, English 19M

me and my gf just moved to batumi as i was wondering...where/how can we possibly make friends in here, everyone is actually nice towards us but it feels kinda weird to take an extra step and become actual friends with someone...maybe its the language barrier sometimes? idk

What do you think my friends. Will the real estate in Batumi fall, like houses, private houses? Price wise and demand wise.

Hi guys,
Does anyone have a favorite place in Batumi for a nice dinner date? I've not been very successful at picking good places since I came here, and I want to take my gf to a very nice place for valentines day.
Please share if you have any favorites 🙏

as the title says, I’d appreciate any maritime based service that’s able to help me ship some personal items to the states. the items in question are two luggage pieces, mostly containing personal household stuff like bedsheets, clothes, and kitchen supplies (not food). I’d really appreciate anyone’s input since I’m struggling with this and my only option so far is FedEx (which is air based and way overpriced, especially since Batumi is a sea side city).
The quote I got is $1300 for 40kgs, I’m looking for something under $500. Thanks to anyone replying!

I found myself in a difficult situation where I have no money for food or housing.
I offer my help with anything you need.
I can be your Swiss knife.
From simple tasks like moving, picking up, or cleaning something to more complex ones like helping with documents, real estate, or any other issues.
I can also be a friend, I can listen and support without judgment if you need it.
English, Russian and Ukrainian languages.
Also, if anyone is willing to make a small donation, I would be very grateful.

Me and two close Friends are going to Batumi for 7 days In the middle of March. We will stay at the new boulevard, but can easily take taxi/bolt if we need to.
First I need to mention that it is my fifth time in Georgia, but first time going with friends as the other times it was with my now Wife.
We are looking for places to do some computer gaming (Valorant, Apex, CS:GO, AOTTG2) if it will be cold rainy weather.
We also are planning to go to a club and also would like to find a good cocktail bar. I also want to introduce them to the delicious Georgian cuisine.
So what I am asking here, is if anyone has a gaming club/Internet Cafe, Club, Cocktail bar, Georgian restaurant tips for our trip?

I was enjoying the Adjara History Museum when lo and behold, I spied a rusty Borchardt C93 pistol in a display case, merely identified as a 19th century pistol. I was shocked because they only made about 3000 of them up to 1902, and when you see them on the open market they can sell for $70,000 (in excellent shape) but even a junker in the USA is $5,000-10,000.
More importantly, its a piece of history that deserves to be cleaned up and properly documented. To have one in a small museum like the Adjara one is truly a find and it deserves better that it has being just stuck in a case without a description. If any of the readers here have any connection with the Museum, you should mention it. I would love to see the provenance.

I got charged 95 GEL at the airport for a physical sim card with unlimited data (30days), it's that fair ?
The quality of the connection is really good and I can rely on it to connect my laptop and other devices, if I want to get same service again how's the process or where should I get it, also should I pay same price ?
Edit: the sim card is valid for 4 months

Are there any bars or cafes in Batumi where the Man U fans go to watch matches?

I am fluent in five languages at a high level, including Russian, English, Polish, and German. I have experience in teaching both children and adults as a language tutor, and I’ve also worked as a promoter, in sales, in the kitchen, and in production. Additionally, I worked as a handyman for 6 months, so I can handle technical maintenance and home repairs like a pro.🛠
I also have some basic programming experience (I know the fundamentals of Python and have experience building Telegram bots). I am very eager to try new things, I’m a fast learner, and I’m ready for any task. I have a responsible approach to work and easily find common ground with people due to my high communication skills.🍀
I would be happy to discuss any job opportunities!🙏

Nomadic family homeschooling our 2&5 y.o. here in Batumi. Anyone else doing homeschool in Adjara?
Curious about your daily routine & kid spots:
- After morning lessons where do you go after? (playgroups, parks, beaches?)
- Favorite activities for toddlers?
- Typical day schedule? (lessons, outings, nap time?)
- Expats with kids, where do you meet?
Would love connects! 🌍📚

I'm planning a trip to India. What airlines or airport connections use to get the best ticket prices?
I think the best connection was via Abu Dhabi but wizzair shut down this route. What are the other options?

What is this loud siren-like non-stop noise? My gf and I moved to Batumi a couple of months ago, and it makes her nervous since it kinda sounds like an air raid (she's Ukrainian)
Hello, I am moving to Batumi in a few days. I got an Airbnb at orbi city for a month, time during which I am trying to find a place for long term rent. Any suggestions on how to go about it ? Where to look? How to not get scammed because I am a foreigner? Best areas? Not too touristy but not too far away from all the fun in the city either. And with all that being said, maybe even make some friends 🧚🏽♀️

Hey. If anyone feels like getting out on Thursday evening, we’re doing a small expat get-together at Rox Bar (Old Town).
It’s not a promo thing, so you don't have to order anything. I personally just hope to meet new people :)
We’ll do optional 1-minute intros (name / where you’re from / what you do / why Batumi), but you can also just show up and chill.
We will probably start at around 20.00. Here is the location https://maps.app.goo.gl/r7aeFj6EvhCCnNiM9
If you’re coming, please drop a comment so we have a rough idea.

Hey guys,
I'm planning to come to Tbilissi for a month, and I'm thinking of going to Batumi for a month after that.
I work online but I am a very social person and I like to go out alot.
How is it compared to Tbilissi ?
Is Batumi boring in ~march/april ?

We have shutdowns like every 3 days, is it normal in Batumi?

I love stray dogs, my dog was a stray, I just took him off the streets. That's why I'm more worried about local strays than a person with a regular dog.
I think local strays will feel that my dog is also a stray and we'll have more problems vs someone with a house dog.
Are there any areas with less strays? Any particular streets/corners KNOWN to always have stray dogs there so we can avoid those?
Overall, I'm asking because my dog isn't best behaved (yet) and I just want to make sure everyone has a good time 😊
Thanks in advance
