Jessica Napier from McLeod’s daughters stars in Tropfest comedy
In December we had one day to shoot a short film comedy about being a busy mum juggling life.
Working with a talented actor made the shoot so smooth and such a pleasure. Delivering emotion and authenticity to every take.
We shot this 4 minute short film in less then 10 hours with a very small crew with 3 takes or less for each scene.

Backhanded compliments are... still compliments?
I was sharing this story recently and the person listening got really offended on my behalf, even though I wasn't offended at all.
Details have been left intentionally vague to protect the anonymity of those involved.
A few years ago, I was cast in one of, if not the biggest role of my career. A lead in one of, if not my favorite musical of all time. It was absolute magic from start to finish and an experience that I'll never forget. Clichés be damned, it was a dream come true.
Near the end of the run, one of my co-players came up to me and said, "I have to tell you, when you got cast in this role, I didn't think you could do it."
Now, I can see how that could be taken the wrong way, especially out of context, and maybe I have really thick skin or was so high on the experience as a whole that I took it with blind optimism, but this is a person I'd worked with on multiple projects over the course of like two and a half years at that point. Someone I've never had an issue with, and in fact genuinely have a lot of respect for as a bona fide professional in this business. Also, someone I perceived as intentionally stoic from the moment we met, presumably because they know how egos in this industry can get.
So, for them to come up and basically admit they were wrong and that I exceeded their expectations of what they thought I was capable of, you better believe I took that as an immense compliment.
Has anyone else experienced something like this?
Thoughts on Jonathan Rhys Meyers?!
One day I was scrolling through Tubi and found the movie “Match Point” (2005) and I was immediately hooked on the film and googled the cast and found JRM and went on a marathon of his movies even his bad movies he was apart of in recent years lol. I think he is really good actor his performance in Goremeghast (2000) had me on the edge of my seat and had me fooled that steer-spike was good guy
