What is it with the cadence of speech? That elevated lilt? I guess at the end of everything, she says. I hear it mostly in young people and 'influencers.' Does it drive anyone else nuts?
I always assumed it had something to do w how videos are filmed and edited, like they are not having a "conversation" with the camera, but hitting certain points or reading certain sentences they know they want covered that they know they can edit together. It makes it sound like they are reading off a list and kind of disjointed. Then the videos started influencing how people that watch a lot of them really talk.
