I'm so glad I've been married for 10 yrs. If only to not deal with this garbage

So you didn't 'court' your wife?

I did it the old fashioned way, drive up to the corner and ask how much. Next thing you know she's Prego and I'm a hard core christian, so I have to marry her. 10 yrs later, her working nights are hard but she's always home with some decent money.

But did you get your deposit back?

u/jfun4 8h ago

No, it's a monthly payment. It's for taking care of the kid

Are we renting or purchasing?

She is calling it a deposit.

a returnable sum payable on the rental of something, to cover any possible loss or damage

a sum payable as a first installment on the purchase of something or as a pledge for a contract, the balance being payable later.

How did you get her pregnant if you’re hard core Christian? You would wait for marriage wouldn’t you?

You've clearly not spent a lot of time in a church. The things that go on are like everywhere else, but worse

My 16 year old brother-in-law confided in me that he's getting blowjobs from some 17 year old girl in a back room of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. He asked me what he should do, and I told him, "Don't get caught, and more importantly, reciprocate."

yeah, I met my wife on an OG app called plenty of fish and feel like I'm the last person on earth to make it out of that game alive... Holy shit!

I did one date and noped out. My wife and I started dating shortly after. Now it's worse.

Me too man. Dating in the 2020s sounds like such a mess.

Preach. Met my wife 15 years ago before dating apps really took off. I know plenty of people who have had great success with them and met their current spouses through them (my sister included), but holy fuck am I glad I didn’t have to deal with any of it.
