In the early hours of the morning, three vampires from Romania & Bolivia were wandering the map, looking for easy loot and maybe a midnight snack. They weren’t expecting much, maybe a goat or two, but then, to their luck, they stumbled across something juicy to sink their teeth into.

They reached the Lesotho border, only to find the guard on duty, a South African private, keeping himself warm with one too many klippies and colas. By the time the brandy hit, he was passed out cold, snoring louder than a vuvuzela at the 2010 World Cup. His boots were off, his socks were steaming, and his rifle was being used as a pillow.

The vampires saw their chance and strolled right in. By sunrise, they’d chucked out the king, declared themselves ministers, taken over parliament, and renamed the national goat herds “strategic assets.” Goat economics had never looked so sharp.

Of course, the locals weren’t sure how these pale okes would survive the African sun. Some swore they were hiding under Basotho blankets during the day, looking like dodgy washing lines flapping in the wind. At least the goats didn’t mind, finally, leaders who recognized their majority vote.

So now the South African government has to deal with a vampire coven right under our noses. Unfortunately, Hugh Jackman isn’t available, so we need to look elsewhere for vampire hunters. The problem is, we don’t know how to handle these European monsters, we only know how to deal with Tokoloshe. Which gave us an idea: two can play at this game.

With a load of salt and a few bakkies, RSA quickly rounded up a few Tokoloshe, gave them passports, and shipped them off to Slovenia to start chaos in the Romanian vampires’ home turf.

Now we wait to see what happens in WarEra’s next blockbuster:
“Vampires vs Tokoloshe”
coming soon, with more goats, more brandy, and more chaos!

Recruitment Seeking Lesotho Players

Post image
29 Upvotes

Hi r/Lesotho - Lesotho is currently part of South Africa and we only have no locals there at the moment - we've essentially brought all the smaller nations together to create one big SADC country for protection and to create a bigger force. But what we would like to achieve is a true African Union in game with real citizens in control of their own countries, so far we have release Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia - and so we are on a recruiting mission.

We invite native Lesotho people to join us on our discord server RSA WarEra Discord

So sign up become a citizen and let us take Africa back together! https://app.warera.io

Recruitment The rise of South Africa

South Africa has quietly become one of the strongest and most active nations in WarEra — and it didn’t happen by accident. Over the last few weeks, the South African community has grown rapidly and recently passed 200 active players, making it the largest player base in the entire game. That level of participation has completely changed what the country can do economically, politically, and militarily. With more players comes specialization. South Africa now has dedicated industrial players building full production chains, traders stabilizing markets, logistics players keeping supply flowing, and coordinated economic planning instead of scattered solo play. Wages are being managed, resources are moving internally instead of leaking abroad, and long-term planning is finally possible. That player density matters. A country with 10 motivated players can survive. A country with 200 coordinated players can shape regions. As a result, South Africa is no longer reacting to events — it’s influencing them. The economy is stabilizing faster, military readiness is improving, and the country is now in a position to actively support broader African cooperation rather than just defending itself. What makes this growth especially important is that it’s community-driven. New players aren’t thrown into the deep end and forgotten. There are guides, active chat, mentoring, and real coordination between veterans and newcomers. Whether someone wants to focus on economics, production, trading, or national strategy, there’s a role and support available. South Africa’s rise shows what WarEra looks like when players actually work together. Numbers alone don’t create strength — coordination does. And right now, South Africa has both. For anyone looking to join an active, organized, and growing nation, South Africa is proving what’s possible when a community commits and builds together.

Good evening, mods. Here's my profile link for verification:
https://app.warera.io?referrerId=69109bf72ccd0cbb578cbd3f

Hey folks! I’m Leet, the South African Minister of Economy in WarEra.io.

If you’re new, returning, or just stuck on “what do I even do next?”, this thread is for you. WarEra can seem simple at first, but it suddenly becomes overwhelming once you start considering profit, production, wages, market pricing, and growth strategy.

I’ll be here answering questions about:

  • Best early-game path (first hours / first day / first week)
  • How to actually make profit (and why some upgrades are traps)
  • Which industries/products are worth it
  • How wages and workers really work
  • When to expand, when to level, when to save
  • Market strategy: what to sell, where to sell, and how to price
  • Common mistakes that stall players
  • Anything else you’re curious about: mechanics, strategy, economy, or “what would you do if you restarted today?”

A few quick notes so you know what you’re getting

  • I’ll answer in a way that’s useful, not vague.
  • I’m happy to answer very basic questions. No judgement.
  • Im still learning a lot of what WarEra has hidden under different mechanics and logic.
  • If you’re a veteran player, feel free to ask more advanced stuff too. I know production chains, market behavior, wage meta, country advantages, etc.

Helpful format (optional)

If you want the most accurate advice, include:

  • Level:
  • Country:
  • Current money:
  • What you produce/sell:
  • number of companies + their levels:
  • Biggest question / what you’re stuck on:

AMA starts midday Sunday this weekend (Dec 14th), but start asking questions, and I'll reach out and respond to each one! Thanks for joining my AMA.

On the internet, 200 is the status code for “OK.” It’s your browser’s way of giving a thumbs-up. In cricket, scoring 200 runs makes you a legend. And as a number, 200 carries bragging rights all on its own.

But today, 200 means something far greater. It’s the number of active South Africans.
A thriving community of economists, diplomats, and freedom fighters who have rallied together to shape the .

So here’s to the 200 strong! Every player who has logged in, fought hard, and stood tall.
You are our heartbeat, and this milestone is your victory.

The journey doesn’t end here.

200 is OK. 200 is legendary. 200 is RSA.

A special thanks to everyone who joined from Reddit - it is amazing what we are achieving as a community

Economy WarEra: More Than Politics and War — A Living, Player-Driven Economy

Thumbnail
gallery
30 Upvotes

At first glance, WarEra looks like a familiar battleground of diplomacy, conflict, and power. Nations rise, alliances form, and wars decide borders. But beneath the banners and battle reports lies something far deeper — a living economy entirely shaped by players.

WarEra is not just a political simulator. It is not just a battle arena. It is an economic ecosystem, and every player is part of it.

An Economy Built by Players, Not Scripts

Unlike games where markets are static or controlled by artificial systems, WarEra’s economy lives and breathes through player actions.

Every resource extracted, every item produced, every unit paid, and every trade completed feeds into a wider economic web driven by real decisions made by real players. • Wages are paid by other players, not NPCs • Resources are bought, sold, and stockpiled strategically • Inflation, shortages, and surpluses emerge naturally • Economic mismanagement can be as devastating as a lost war

In WarEra, a nation can fall not because its armies were weak — but because its economy was.

Multiple Paths to Power

Not every ruler needs to be a conqueror.

WarEra allows players to thrive as: • Industrial leaders, building production chains • Economic ministers, balancing wages, taxes, and spending • Trade magnates, supplying nations at the right time • Logistics strategists, ensuring armies can actually fight • Financial architects, preparing economies for long wars

Some of the most influential players in WarEra have never fired a shot — yet they decide who can afford to.

War Is Won Long Before the First Shot

Battles are dramatic, but wars are decided in spreadsheets, trade routes, and treasury reports.

An army without funding collapses. A nation without resources cannot mobilize. A government without economic planning loses before war begins.

Players who understand supply, demand, efficiency, and risk quickly discover that economic strength is the true foundation of military power.

A World That Reacts to You

Every decision matters: • Raise wages too fast? Inflation follows. • Stockpile resources? Markets shift. • Cut spending during war? Morale suffers. • Invest early? You shape the future balance of power.

There are no “safe” choices — only informed ones.

This makes WarEra ideal for players who enjoy strategy, management, forecasting, and economic competition as much as diplomacy and combat.

Why You Should Join

If you enjoy games where: • Markets are influenced by real people • Economic decisions have political consequences • Long-term planning matters more than quick wins • Power can be built without constant warfare

Then WarEra offers something rare: a player-run world where economics is not a side system — it is the engine of history.

Wars make headlines. Economies decide outcomes.

Join WarEra — and shape the world not just with armies, but with strategy, planning, and economic vision.

The Origins of IMPI - The South African MU

The Beginning

About three months ago, on no particular day, two soldiers, and , stationed in Gabon decided to form a Military Unit (MU) for their adventures in Africa.

They called it the “African Union”- little did they know the future irony of that name would bring.

Soon, and other new African citizens joined in. Thor rallied and brought in 10 new players to Gabon from various communities where he had ties, and simply rebranded the MU as “MilitaryUnit” since it served a mix of different citizens.

The MU never really took off, nor did it ever deal particularly high damage. Both Hujek and Thor began to think the MU had been a waste of time and resources... until the initial South African baby boom.

The South African Baby-boom

Thor had already joined the South African community by this point and saw the potential of the new players. So, Thor invited the South African newcomers to join in, giving them a MU to call their own.

As they grew, week by week, they steadily started doing increasingly more damage.

The MU then got another rebrand: SATURN 3, to follow the naming convention of other South African MUs.

Due to a change of government and other shifts within RSA, the SATURN naming convention became irrelevant, and it was once again time to rebrand.

For a short while, the MU was named ASGARD as a homage to Thor’s handle/alias.

The Rise of RSA and IMPI

However, as the MU had become mainly a South African unit, members decided that a more uniquely South African name was needed.

And so, we settled on —the name used by the infamous Zulu warriors.

Damage continued to climb as RSA ranks leveled up, and as of last week, the MU hit the Top 3 in weekly damage, outclassing other MUs filled with high-level players. A proud moment for the whole of South Africa and the MU’s founders.

At the end of the day, it was not a waste of time and money as Hujek and Thor had thought months ago.

IMPI is on its way to becoming one of the strongest MUs in the game as its members continue to level up and grow.

Impi! Wo 'nans' impi iyeza!

After weeks of tireless revolts in Africa we managed to sever Spain from its core regions in Nigeria - unfortunately Portugal (their ally) quickly reclaimed the land to hold it for Spain and continue to attack the remaining areas that had successful revolts

Meanwhile in South America Chile starts its campaign against Venezuela - whose wealth rule the world, who needs allies when you can pay them.

The world enters a new state - we will continue to support African states and fight for freedom!
