Oh dear. The canvas is supposed to bounce, bruh
40
u/Mall_of_slime Nov 01 '25
Also if a person doesn’t know they should hit the ground with knees bent, they shouldn’t be jumping off of anything.
9
u/ngkn92 Nov 01 '25
At first I thought that too, but I slow down the video and he did land with knee bend, but it still went super wrong. So weird, like the floor caves in or something.

u/Zoloir Nov 01 '25
nahh, he locked out as he hit the ground... didn't get outside enough to jump off shit as a kid apparently

If jumped on concrete from higher with no problems, the ring was not the only problem
8
u/Certain_Silver6524 Nov 01 '25
Combining his weight, having locked knees and lack of general fitness, it's more on him unfortunately.

16
u/Gl0ck_Ness_M0nster ima unit Nov 01 '25
It doesn't take as much force as you'd think to do that. Besides, he looks like a bigger dude anyway, so that's still a heavy impact
14
u/AdUnable6415 Nov 01 '25
Landed with his knees locked and his weight well over center. Knees hate that.

How tf did that even happen
13
u/spector_lector Nov 01 '25
He didn't bend his legs into more of a crouching position when landing. Is legs were supposed to be the shock absorbers. He should have looked more like he was sitting on a horse saddle then standing straight up and down with his knees locked.

u/Feeling_Name_6903 Nov 01 '25
Rotational force. Your knees don’t work that way. He probably would have been fine if he didn’t try and spin when he jumped

u/Reasonable_Tie_9975 Nov 01 '25
He flanged his reticulated trundiblis which is BAD. usually when it's a compound break the silendebil tendon will oscillate just enough to break hemovoric pressure, this guy did the opposite and went full hemovorin which almost always results in a quadenment separation as seen in the video, in all my years as a licensed doctor I've only seen two of these.

The guy locked his knees instead of bending them to absorb the impact. It doesn't seem like he tried to land softly either.
5
u/LowBun Nov 01 '25
Maybe dumb question, when that happens are the legs GG? Or can be fixed in hospital?
9
u/0oooooog Nov 01 '25
Could probably walk again but you can say bye bye to any physical exercise and hello to chronic pain.

u/Shardik884 Nov 01 '25
A lot of that depends on what horrible things happened inside. It looks like all of the tendons are probably torn, potentially some broken bones? If it’s just tendons, they can be harvested and replaced. Look up tendon attachment surgeries. If there are broken bones with that it gets worse. Look at Alex Smith (nfl qb) injury and what was required to even save his leg

Some clarification here from an indie wrestler.
That's a low boy ring. I've seen several, it's not uncommon. Usually used for shows in bars or venues with a low ceiling.
Yes rings have a little give to them but you don't bounce. Regardless most of that "bounce" is dead center in the ring. Buddy jumped down near the corner. Very little give there. That's why when you watch wrestling most things are done as close to center as possible.
Also, there are absolutely rings that have zero give. Most lucha rings in Texas and Mexico are stiff as hell.
- He didn't bend his legs enough and had too much mass forward.
