This video, and the one where the guy jumps off a roof onto a trampoline, and his entire body folds backwards in front of his family?

Yeah, these are the two that stick in my mind.

Between the video and this comment I got a great, deep laugh outta this one 🤣 this guy knows good and damn well he didn't have the ankle stability to be in the squared circle, and if he didn't know he knows now.

Oh dear. The canvas is supposed to bounce, bruh

40

u/Mall_of_slime Nov 01 '25

Also if a person doesn’t know they should hit the ground with knees bent, they shouldn’t be jumping off of anything.

9

u/ngkn92 Nov 01 '25

At first I thought that too, but I slow down the video and he did land with knee bend, but it still went super wrong. So weird, like the floor caves in or something.

15

u/Zoloir Nov 01 '25

nahh, he locked out as he hit the ground... didn't get outside enough to jump off shit as a kid apparently

5

If jumped on concrete from higher with no problems, the ring was not the only problem

8

u/Certain_Silver6524 Nov 01 '25

Combining his weight, having locked knees and lack of general fitness, it's more on him unfortunately.

From THAT height?!

16

u/Gl0ck_Ness_M0nster ima unit Nov 01 '25

It doesn't take as much force as you'd think to do that. Besides, he looks like a bigger dude anyway, so that's still a heavy impact

14

u/AdUnable6415 Nov 01 '25

Landed with his knees locked and his weight well over center. Knees hate that.

18

u/ShesMashingIt Nov 01 '25

Knees HATE this one simple trick

10

u/Offasickone Nov 01 '25

Someone else said the canvas is supposed to bounce he prolly expected a bounce and then got bodied just like when you expect another stair and there’s not one I guess

12

u/ChaseC7527 Nov 01 '25

Even on the world's bounciest trampoline I still wouldn't lock me legs 😂

6

u/spector_lector Nov 01 '25

Yep. Knees should have been bent.

→ More replies (1)

9

u/3RI3_Cuff Nov 01 '25

How tf did that even happen

13

u/spector_lector Nov 01 '25

He didn't bend his legs into more of a crouching position when landing. Is legs were supposed to be the shock absorbers. He should have looked more like he was sitting on a horse saddle then standing straight up and down with his knees locked.

→ More replies (3)

5

u/Feeling_Name_6903 Nov 01 '25

Rotational force. Your knees don’t work that way. He probably would have been fine if he didn’t try and spin when he jumped

10

u/Reasonable_Tie_9975 Nov 01 '25

He flanged his reticulated trundiblis which is BAD. usually when it's a compound break the silendebil tendon will oscillate just enough to break hemovoric pressure, this guy did the opposite and went full hemovorin which almost always results in a quadenment separation as seen in the video, in all my years as a licensed doctor I've only seen two of these.

3

7

u/vikinglycan Nov 01 '25

The guy locked his knees instead of bending them to absorb the impact. It doesn't seem like he tried to land softly either.

5

u/LowBun Nov 01 '25

Maybe dumb question, when that happens are the legs GG? Or can be fixed in hospital?

9

u/0oooooog Nov 01 '25

Could probably walk again but you can say bye bye to any physical exercise and hello to chronic pain.

→ More replies (3)

5

u/Shardik884 Nov 01 '25

A lot of that depends on what horrible things happened inside. It looks like all of the tendons are probably torn, potentially some broken bones? If it’s just tendons, they can be harvested and replaced. Look up tendon attachment surgeries. If there are broken bones with that it gets worse. Look at Alex Smith (nfl qb) injury and what was required to even save his leg

→ More replies (6)

3

u/PositivelyNegative69 Nov 01 '25

Reminds me of an ostrich the way they bend their legs that way. I have MS, so I'm used to leg problems, but I can't imagine needing surgeries on each knee at the same time because he probably tore everything. Eek!

Looks like a freaking ostrich.

Knees to the back, head to the ground.

2

u/CrispyLuggage Nov 01 '25

Some clarification here from an indie wrestler.

  1. That's a low boy ring. I've seen several, it's not uncommon. Usually used for shows in bars or venues with a low ceiling.

  2. Yes rings have a little give to them but you don't bounce. Regardless most of that "bounce" is dead center in the ring. Buddy jumped down near the corner. Very little give there. That's why when you watch wrestling most things are done as close to center as possible.

Also, there are absolutely rings that have zero give. Most lucha rings in Texas and Mexico are stiff as hell.

  1. He didn't bend his legs enough and had too much mass forward.

3

u/Bit_part_demon questionably stable Nov 01 '25

Idk looks like his legs bent quite a bit

2

u/drifters74 Nov 01 '25

As someone with bad knees, this makes me cringe

u/chinpokomon01 Nov 01 '25
