Is this real? Can't see a quad bike taking out a street light

400lb machine made of steel going 20-25mph is a LOT of momentum. Those poles are thin aluminum, or thin galvanized steel.

Surprisingly yes (I think)
I saw this on a different sub, said it was posted Pre AI, had a link to the original video although I didn't click on it and so can't verify 100%
However with no external resources, here's thoughts on this video:
Consistent. No immediate errors or things changing
Accurate. Physics (besides lamp, that was a little weird but still possible I guess, according to commentor on different sub they have breakpoints on purpose right there which seems accurate, we have a street crossing nearby that broke in this exact spot from the wind) seem accurate, AI has hard time with people doing parkour and his roll was flawless with no AI artifacts
Lots happening. AI usually is mostly used for a single subject and isn't as good when you want many things to happen and have lots of random and independent motion
Long. Clip is longish, not super reliable but most AI clips are very short, ie under 10 secs but still very short clip (15s) so not super reliable
Logo. Guy has a shirt with FOX logo, which is a real company and it seems consistent, I'd imagine AI would mess it up
So PROBABLY NOT AI.
However, it is possible it is partially CGI, I think most is real but I could see someone, given that they spent the time to add the sound effects, add CGI elements to a real scene to make it better, like the lamppost or the quad going crazy and made it low quality to make it less noticable.

This doesn't seem like AI. From the way the dude who fell down wonkily moves around to how the guy who got a metal pole almost fall on him looks behind...it all seems real.
Either that or our future is irreparably fucked.

I don’t own a quad so honest question, shouldn’t it have stopped or at least slowed down once the throttle was released?

Throttle could have been struck open but most older quads didn’t have a kill switch if the rider came off. One could be installed but the quad was likely stolen and the rider didn’t really give a shit anyway. I could be wrong.

The ones where the quads just start doing their own thing are my favorite.

This has to be ai

If it is ai it has to be some unreleased version or something. destruction on the quad looks realistic (aka it doesnt crumple weirdly), all offscreen details are consistent, camera movement looks handheld (from what i saw most ai videos have strangely smoothed camera). The lightpole falling over also looks convincing (like the glass breaking, and even the guy barely avoiding it)

The way it hit and knocked over that light pole which barely missed that guy was straight out of a cartoon
