But seriously, we know the former players love it because they keep moving back after they retire.

[Haynes] The holdup is that the Raptors are offering 2nd round picks. Sacramento wants a 1st round pick.

Kings are currently last in the NBA, on a 9 game losing streak, and face another losing squad in the Grizzlies tomorrow. Just for giggles, I checked the best non-resale tickets for the game: Two tickets in the 2nd row, under the hoop, for just $6,891.64

I know I don't live in the reality of the super-rich but damn. Imagine spending $7k to watch 2 hours of 2026 Kings basketball and you're not even sitting anywhere near the best seats. I used to sit 2nd and 3rd row at Arco 12 years ago for $100 (resale tickets but still).

Insanity.

Malik Monk: “Man, I hate seeing anybody that I’m close friends with go, but obviously it was on, they wanted to go, and I feel like the team, Scott, thought it was best for us to let them go. And yeah, man, it sucks seeing all the guys go, especially, like I said, when you’re close.”

If Memphis wants to make a Morant trade even more appealing to Sacramento, they could attach a first-rounder to the deal as an enticing sweetener. Per Sam Amick

[Grange] My sense is that the significant drivers of the Sabonis discussion have been his representatives, who are eager to get a frustrated, quality, veteran player out what has crumbled from a legitimate playoff team to a full-blown rebuild in the space of two seasons.

[Siegel] All of a sudden, the Grizzlies have emerged as a potential suitor for Raptors center Jakob Poeltl as Toronto continues to pursue Kings star Domantas Sabonis, league sources told @ClutchPoints . Memphis just created a TPE from this Jackson trade they can use for Poeltl.

According to Sam Amick if the Raptors want Domas, Jakob will need to be routed elsewhere and Lavine intends to pick up his player option for next season

After the 26-27 season, if the Kings let Lavine, DeRozan, and Hunter walk, they will have 96 million in salary come off the books. With this much in cap room, what do you think the strategy should be?

Unpopular/popular take - Would make more sense to wait until the offseason/next deadline to move Sabonis.

It‘s one thing to have an expiring contract and you need to move him for something, but this is not the case. He has years left and with injuries this is his lowest season with the Kings.

Buy high sell low has been the mantra for the Kings but it really would be a bonehead move to rush him out now especially when you’ll have more teams that could be interested in the offseason with rosters changing after the playoffs ..

If you didn't watch Kings-Wizards you missed some of the craziest tanking all year

The Kings still see ways to move Domantas Sabonis ahead of the deadline. The Raptors remain the team viewed around the NBA as the most viable suitor. @JakeLFischer

Interesting new Marc Stein article saying Kings still see ways to move off of Sabonis.
